I try to stay away from events due to the caliber of player usually involved and low stakes. However, I want to play these US events to try out some new cards and get PXP.
1st game: opponent rage dashboards on a 2 run HR by Ortiz (P4)
2nd game: opponent rage dashboards on a lead off HR my Mantle (P1)Just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Dashboarding needs fixed. Give these people a 30 min timeout or something like Kindergarten.
I just had a slugfest my first game. Won on a 2 run bomb by Mullins. There are great rewards in this event. Well worth the time. You just got 2bquick wins. That's better than some nonsense parallel points. What did you jiss out on? 50 pts?

I understand the frustration, but you have to expect dashboarding when you play events...You captured it with "childish behavior"///

As someone that plays events a lot, take off the WS nameplate and icon. No one wants to play world series players in event games. I'm not even speaking from me doing this personally, but even me rocking a CS banner scares people off

This. I have a 23-0 ranked seasons record, just because I only played at the beginning of the year and maybe 2-3 games a season after it to get Wild Card rewards...and I can't tell you how many pre-game quits I get for the easiest wins of all time.

I feel like guys with 12 and 0 banner get rattled when you don't quit out-of events.
I'll admit I become a try hard when I fave a WS or 12-0 banner. Don't play toxic or anything just lock in more, if only I played that way all the time

It’s even worse with BR, where missions really matter. Yesterday on my first run of this program, I had someone try to dashboard a Joe Carter home run (thankfully they were too late) and then in back to back games had dashboards cost me the 40 total base mission (which luckily I got on my last game of that run).

That’s because you’ve accepted the poor situation that is the status quo. The thing is, it doesn’t have to be like that. It’s a easy fix.

Pre-game quits are great. Mid flight HR dashboards are not.

You can't give a 'time out' for something like that when the system can't distinguish between a dashboard and a disconnect due to server/internet issues.
There really are only two solutions.

For SDS to let the play continue the have the game end. Other companies can do that.

Other games don’t distinguish between the 2 and still give a timeout. Why can’t SDS? If people are getting disconnected all the time their beef is with the ISP.

I was playing BR yesterday and ran into a guy who was beating me pretty handedly, but he had popped up with Thome in his first at-bat. I was thinking about quitting out to redraft when I saw Thome was on deck again, so I walked the pitcher, put in my worse reliever, and gave Thome a meatball. He still hit a weak fly ball to left, but I ran away from the ball until he rounded the bases. He didn't ask for help or anything, but I figured it would be nice to put some positivity out there. There are plenty of tool boxes playing online, but it's not all bad.

Exactly.
Actually, the solution is far simpler. Just credit the player who was batting when the disconnect/dashboard happened with a home run (since 99% of the time that is what happened). Then the incentive to dashboard would be gone and the missions would still track.

Other games don’t distinguish between the 2 and still give a timeout. Why can’t SDS? If people are getting disconnected all the time their beef is with the ISP.

i dont play online much at all really, maybe a ranked series game here or there, but i read a comment above about sds doing a ban or timeout or whatever, sds cant do anything to someone for quitting a game, sorry thats not gonna happen..
