very nice - i managed to see a jays game a few weeks back when Springer had that 3 run jack in the bottom eighth - 26 hits in that game, unreal

I think what OP is getting at is this... It's like your Kid wrecks your car, but says Mom and Dad, look I got a Scholarship to Harvard! SDS is showing us these pretty, sparkly things like flash sales and content drops to try and get us to forget all the glaring issues that haven't been fixed.

What keeps me playing?
My love for baseball and this game instead of focusing on what SDS sells and/or complaining about things outside of my control.I also love baseball and also love this game. I've stuck up for this company forever. To the point I would get roasted on here for it. Just go back and look at my posts from early this year.. Im done.. If you want to accept this joke of a game as good that's fine but it doesn't mean that people who are unhappy are just complaining. The fact that you accept it for what it has became says a lot. Curious how long you have played this game.
For me it's not about sticking up for SDS or accepting anything. It's about having fun with the best available Baseball game. Sure, it has flaws. It's NEVER been perfect. They add or fix one thing and another is "broken" as that stupid buzz word goes...
Every year has been different... Some improvements and some things to correct. Even if they ever made a "perfect" game, trust me, someone will come on here and cry and complain about it.
Lastly, to satisfy your curiosity, I've been on DD since March of 2012 (DD's inception) and around these forums equally as long so believe me, I've seen it all.

I went to the HRD when it was in Milwaukee in the early 2000's. I was in the Navy going to school between my 1st and 2nd duty stations. It was blast. The BP before the HRD was probably better than the HRD. Bonds and Sosa were hitting balls that were unbelievable. One ball went over the scoreboard in center or close to it. It was crazy.

I watched Shohei hit the sign on the upper deck, place went nuts when they saw it was over 500'
But man to see Sosa and Bonds... That would be amazing.

My guess is 20/30k for HRD/ASG packs, 25/30k for FOD if we get that, 25k for LS, and 20k for the guaranteed headliner. Again this is just a guess and I could be way off
