Spoken like someone with no real responsibilities. Emergencies happen, if I'm winning or its tied and I gotta run I'm gonna at least ask for a friendly quit and if denied I'll just quit out no problem but it's worth asking.
You probably shouldn't be firing up a 45 minute game with all those responsibilities.

Here's the thing deny the request and the person will either quit immediately which is what I usually see when I decline them or they will play until you score another run or strike them out woth a pitch in the dirt. Like I said this is the dumbest thing to be crying about, noone can force you to accept a friendly quit so why should it bother you this much? Sounds like you lost to someone after declining a friendly request.
Also on another note I know you will say I'm overanalyzing but you are clearly trying to make some sort of guy joke with your "happy fellers" comments which just shows your maturity and level of intelligence -
