So I've played about 12 games on the new patch and overall it seems better than what we currently had but there are some things that I think need to be added to the game before SDS is done tuning the game

    1. Strike Zone. If any part ball is in the strike zone its a strike. Reasoning for this is because its way to easy to check your swings on boaderline pitches which results in them always being called balls which is a huge advantage to the batter(the check swing engine is still broken IMO) Players should be able to work with a slightly bigger strike as opposed to a smaller strike zone online.

    2. Swing and timing Feedback. Can one of the developers please explain how the timing window and swing feebacks works because im completely lost. I'm placing the ball slightly above the center with neutral swing timing and for the most part its being labelled at a Good/Okay swing. I know a lot of people have been talking about this and it would help if we had some clarifications of what exactly we are doing wrong because from my prospective I'm squaring up the ball with a power hitter and a good swing (which is all I can do) and it's still resulting in weak flyball. I've also hit HR on pitchers that were out of the PCI and popouts on pitches that were slighty above the centre of the PCI which makes no sense to me

Edit: 3. The ability to swing and miss on very early swings. this has been carried over from last year but if you are very early on any swing it should be a whiff, the game still manges to make it so ever very early swing make contact with a ball if it's in the strike zone. IMO very early should be the same as very late, a swinging strike with no contact

Pitching. The changes to pitching were a welcomed addition and I 100% feel like it would be fine if they left it like this for the rest of the year

The PCI/swing feedback is baffling to me. I’ve had multiple occasions today where the ball is just above center within the PCI with good timing, while using diamond Eddie with over 100 power, and the result being a routine fly ball to CF.

Pitching is still garbage. If perfect doesn’t mean perfect....why are we even trying to get it?

I've had more hits since this patch, but I don't feel like I've hit for much power.

For #1, I think they got something critically wrong. They use BB/9 and K/9 to influence control but that's the wrong way to do it.

Those two stats (BB/9 and K/9) should only influence whether your pitcher gets the close calls on the black instead of the garbage ump sliders they use now.

This would more accurately reflect how some pitchers had larger strike zones in RL.

This game sucks. That’s it. They broke it after launch like always. It’s so pitcher dominant on HOF+. It’s either kluber or Oswalt every game pretty much. Content this year has been sub par for me at least. The WS reward I got was useless besides the stubs. I hate to be so negative, but everyone on here knows the gameplay is trash. From hitting to fielding to pitching, it’s all a dumpster fire. The only offense is HRs, which makes the games so boring to play now. Idk, I just hope they can put it back together, but with everything going on in the world I doubt it happens. This game needs more than “slight” changes to anything.

I agree for the most part. Check swings are for sure broken. I've only played about 6 games since the patch, and admittedly I've been playing pretty bad, but I could tell that there are still far too many good/okays on well placed PCIs, and I'm not really seeing the increased exit velo on good/goods either. Could definitely just be due to a small sample size, but that's what I've experienced so far. Pitching definitely feels improved. Perfectly released pitches still don't go where you want them to all the time, but I've noticed a marked decrease in meatballs on well released pitches. Overall, I think its an improvement. Hitting is marginally better, and pitching took a big step up IMO
