The issue with hitting in this game.

First off, I applaud San Diego Studios for listening to problems the community has with the game and at the very least making some effort to address them. I say some effort because some of those problems are still problems. Sinkers should not warp to home plate but that's not what this is about. Now with that being said, the problem is the timing windows.
On the outside part of the plate, a good majority of "Late" and "Just Late" swings are not really that late if late at ALL. It feels like you almost have to be out in front of a fastball on the outer third to line it the opposite way. You can't let the ball get deep on you at all and that's a problem.
The inside part of the plate is worse. It's ridiculous how far in front of a high and tight fastball you have to be to have a "perfect" swing. Even worse, the "Later side of good" situation. If you were ACTUALLY on the later side of good on an inside pitch (assuming good contact), at the absolute worst you'd be taking it to left center with a RHH and you wouldn't lose 20mph in exit velo in the process like in this game. What masked this problem last year before timing windows were changed was the ball being significantly bigger and brighter. The ball was easier to track, making it easier to hit. Depth perception wasn't a problem like in this game with the ball being so small. If you disagree with that statement at all, go into practice mode and have the pitcher throw sliders and curveballs across the bottom of the zone. Have fun with those late swings.
My solution? Eliminate the "early side of good" and "the later side of good" pitch feedback, and then fix the timing windows accordingly.
Will any of this happen? I HIGHLY doubt it. And again i'm not bashing the game or the developers. I just think this is too big of an issue for it to not have been addressed already. -

I have said to myself at times I can’t see the ball. I didn’t realize the possibility of it being smaller

I think that's why I struggle with moments on rookie or veteran. The PCI is too large. It should not take me a hour to hit a HR on rookie.
Early this week they had a daily mission on all star. Got it done on the first try. -

The hitting engine was actually better five or six years ago.
