Earning More Players

TL:DR: Offline players need more opportunities to collect players available only in online play to further collections....
Due to the massive gap between myself and some the majority of the players on here, I don't play events or BR because I guess I just really suck at online play...that being said, those of us who are good against the computer but trash in the online scene are at a disadvantage because we are unable to get these extra players for our collections...I have only bought one bundle of stubs when I first got the game, but otherwise am f2p...saving stubs isn't really a thing because saving for a week or so when you are done with the inning only nets around 30k or so...there is no way I will be able to get nookie before he disappears due to not getting all the extra players available through online...this needs to change so those of us that can't win in online can still fulfill collections...
-
Mookie will never disappear, so no time limit on when you can get him
And there are many other ways you can accumulate stubs if you are an offline only, no money spent player. Grind out the conquest map over and over for 90k a pop (selling all the prospects for about 3000 apiece) or work the market and flip cards
-
I haven't played on-line this year, don't flip, and don't spend money, but I still have almost all the cards. They've already made the rewards too easy to get, and I sure don't want it to be made any simpler. The problem with the content isn't the game's fault, but rather yours. You could be working the usa map and the cap programs, but it doesn't sound like you're even doing that.
-
They need an offline seasons. it’s time.
-
To make money do the conquest map, you get all the prospects for each division and they sell for between 3-6k stubbs. Also dont buy packs, you almost never come out ahead.
-
They do need an offline DD season mode. Rewards should be lesser cards obviously and Non sellable. Would give players who play offline something besides conquest to grind with the dream teams they’ve been building.
-
So just to be clear I have all the futures, the grind to do that US map again is mind numbing...I have Rivera and Chipper, and really only about 20 cards from getting Mookie, but the CAP is being used to help complete innings faster, so the problem still persist that just because I can't win a certain amount of games or I am not good enough to compete online, it limits how I am able to complete the collections...and I just seen that Rivera is still available in collections, so thank you for that info as Mookie will still be around later, I appreciate it...
-
Probably for this year, but I think the more people that post for an offline seasons, I think it will be in the game next year.
-
It's never been easier for offliners to afford the online rewards thanks to the Ranked and BR Programs.

People just want things handed to them. Soon they will demand all players be given to them for free since they already paid $60 for the game. They will be saying, why do I only get to choose 1/3 bosses. SDS needs to give us all three because how else would we be able to get the other 2.
Ppl complained about the 12-0 and WS rewards now the prices for those cards have tanked. You no longer have 12-0 cards selling for 500+k. Next when they make it easier to get cards for offline players by playing the CPU on All-Star, they will be saying SDS needs to make it easier for us guys that can't beat the CPU on anything higher than Rookie.
How else am I suppose to obtain cards???????????? FYI. You are not suppose to collect every [censored] card in the game. Ppl are already complaining about moments being to hard, daily missions being to hard. We have turned into a bunch of snowflakes. Soon moments extreme will turn into moments for dummies where instead of hitting 4 hr's on HOF you will need to swing and miss 9x and you pass the moment.
-
I don’t think people want things handed to them, the million stub wall last year wasn’t good because even if you earned the Stubbs you couldn’t obtain the card, so they changed it, they had too, their also a business and who is going to buy stubs if you still can’t purchase Willie Mays… I think people also want more things offline to grind, not everyone has time or wants to play competitively, but wants to use their teams in 9 inning games ( I play online and offline).. So an offline season would help this…. As I’ve said many times Online Ranked you’d get Mickey Mantle type rewards. Offline George Foster.
-
This has been by far the easiest year to date to obtain players and stubbs.

There had been million dollar cards before, but you could still get your order filled in due process. Thing is, they gave out too many last year, and made it too easy to earn them. The end result of this were orders that never got filled. All they had to do was pull out the excess stubs, but instead chose to hand out reward cards to anyone that played enough games, whether they were any good or not.

Very well said. Summed it up perfectly.

Maybe next year. I don't do online, so I won't even get fifth or whatever.

Of course you don't mention that you have gotten to that point by averaging 5 plus hours a day every single day since release. That is great that you can play that much but it is an unrealistic expectation for the vast majority.
I only play offline and I realize that I am never going to have everything because I won't devote that much time to the game (although MLB is usually the game I put the most hours into every year). I understand that and am fine with that.
But as a Cardinals fan it should would be nice to have a chance to earn Musial, Pujols or Ozzie Smith without playing online. Yes, I can simply buy them on the market and I am sure that I will do that but that does not keep me engaged in actually playing the game more.

True enough. I'm fortunate enough that I have summers off, and get alone time for a four hour block through the rest of the year. I could be considerably further with my p5s, except I take too many breaks. Even at my rate of play, it can be a little overwhelming at times keeping up with content.

I’m in a similar boat as you. I’m 16 cards from Mookie. I’ve completed all the Moments, TAs, Monthly’s, reached 650 on this Inning, Dailys, the major Conquest maps all except for the US map. I just hope I can pull some of the cards I need to complete for Mookie.
