People still using freeze glitches, bunt cheese after the past update because no one can field a ground ball...(diamond defense doesn't mean anything right?) David Ortiz now making plays Jackie Robinson can't.... Play baseball for baseball as a video game...use Franchise and I SWEAR to you, there will be no freeze glitches or "bunt cheese". Multiplayer sucks and is stupid. Single player Franchise would be beyond belief if these past 7 years had been spent improving it and the game itself instead of this idiotic multiplayer BS.

Isn’t this every multi-player game? People online aren’t playing the sport, they’re playing to win. Used to be you’d get together with friends who played sports and have head to head tourneys for hours. Now all these “pro gamers” who’ve never played a sport just look for bugs and exploits so they can feel good about themselves. It’s all about cards or coins and getting as many 99 players as possible. I don’t really get the draw of having squads of HOFers playing against each other, but to each their own. I’ve played DD some, but never played Madden Ultimate Team, NBA 2k park, etc. Madden online, even just regular teams, is the worst. Bares no resemblance to football.

No reason to be sorry, but that is kind of what I mean...if they had spent the last 7 years working on this as a game, it wouldn't be nearly as weak or incompetent. These guys are good at making an excellent baseball game, but as soon as DD came in the game basically stopped improving. I can make a list of so many things that have been adjusted or taken out to appease the DD crowd, and it has done nothing but hurt the video game.
1st baseman covering 1st on a solid hit to right is one specifically. It was taken out of the game because of the whining the on-line crowd did about it, and the 1st baseman now ignores his responsibility and stands there. Thing is, this is a real thing that happens in real life. I've watched it happen in MLB games, and sean casey even got thrown out by a LF a few years ago. Carl Furillo used to do it a lot in the 50's.
Unfortunately, that is how it is now. They take out real events from this video game to appease the (usually) ridiculously whiny crowd of DD players. Bunt cheese, disconnects, etc., etc. I honestly liked this game much better before DD was invented.

Options:
- Continue purchasing the game, and understand that it is A. incredibly flawed B. lacks creativity unless DD is involved.
- Stop buying the game, send a message to a company that they will not receive your earned-dollar.
The reality is, option 1 is going to be chosen by a vast majority of people. They will continue to complain, as though they are the ones who are in control when in-fact they are being milked for profits.
Option to would be effective if the community would get behind a boycott. But people are too individualistic and would rather be blind within a heard and scream "I'm independent" than actually do something productive.

Doesn't pitch Degrom or Cabrera every game
Doesn't have a bad connection that causes lag
Doesn't abuse the pause timerIn the end those things just make the game far more enjoyable for many of us. I'm old and grew up not playing competitive online video games so I have no desire to prove myself against other gamers.

100% agree which is one of the reasons why I would like SDS to implement an "offline" RS mode to allow people to play the game without all the downsides of the online version. I am sure a LOT more people would be invested in playing the game.
