Showdown revamp

Obviously the community has voiced their disdain for showdown. There have been a lot of complaints on how it's broken or rigged. I usually stay away from it if possible but it is needed for the FoD program. So I'll suck it up and grind through it.
Going forward I'd like to see SDS make some tweaks to this mode. One in particular is letting you use your own squad. The whole point of DD is building your own fantasy baseball team. If they could do a fantasy draft of cards you've collected would be ideal IMO.
Example -
Rounds 1 & 2 90+
Round 3 low diamond
Rounds 4 & 5 gold
Rounds 6-8 silver
Rounds 9-10 perks
Fill out the rest of your team with commons.You could also tie in stat grinds in it too, just my thoughts on how they could make it more towards DD and not like a BR offline mode.
Anyone else think its a good idea? Or have some other suggestions on how to make it better not just complaining about it.

I don't think it's super difficult really. If you take your time and wait on pitches your fine. I just dont like being forced to use certain players I wouldn't want to play with on DD.

So, can someone fill us in on the pitchers we face in this particular Showdown?
What to draft? As in speed, power, contact, lefty or righty heavy lineup. -
I actually enjoyed the hell out of this version of Showdown. At first I wasn't too keen (about three challenges in), but that was only because I wasn't equipped with a lineup that could do continuous damage. Once I started finding consistency, however, it became quite enjoyable and still challenging.
I went in to the Felix matchup down 15-20, but 25 outs is super generous and I got it done with about 16 outs to spare.

Everyone has their opinion on these things and there have definitely been a lot of posts lately about people not liking showdown. However, a lot of the time it is the people who dislike something who comment and ask for things to be changed. You just don't see a ton of posts of people saying "I LOVE Showdown" or "Ranked seasons are AMAZING"...but there are a lot of those people out there. They just go about their day playing a game they enjoy. Kind of like when you have an elementary teacher who has 25 kids...24 kids and their parents may love their teacher and hardly any will say anything, but the one who doesn't is definitely going to make their voice heard. That doesn't mean the teacher is bad and there needs to be a change for all 25 students.
The only reason I am commenting here is because if SDS does read this I want them to see other perspectives. I have been a primarily offline player, who is starting to play more online. I do like showdown and I like the way it is designed. I like that it is based around a program or event and is based on the cards going on with that. I love to try out new cards and even though everything in showdown is more arcade like...it is still cool to try out new cards.
I also can't remember a program where Showdown was required to complete the program, which is really cool to me. Moments on the other hand are required for just about anything. I loved that the Clemente program was truly designed in a manner for people to kind of choose how they wanted to complete it. I know there are others who feel different and I am not saying they are wrong. We just have different opinions, which is fine. As someone who is a pretty balanced offline/online player...I think Showdown is pretty cool as it is.

Id rather pay 5k instead of 500 and keep playing it like moments over and over and not have to restart from beginning if u lose to mini boss

The FOD showdown was the first I have done all season. I am not a great player, and exclusivly play offline....finsihed on the first try with 8 outs left to go in the final showdown. Would have been perfect too on all of the individual stuff have King Felix not given up dingers in both. Still went in final Showdown only down 20-15, and the last few give you 3 runs each and were easy.
I dont really like showdown, but I actually enjoyed playing this one.....

That is actually a really good idea! Maybe not 5k but a 1k increase on every continue. Ie. First one is 1500, second is 2500, third...

You can't say that the disgruntled vocal minority here on the forum accurately represents "the Community". I honestly feel like it is the same dozen or so posters going on about it all the time.

My issue with Showdowns is the moments where you gain runs are monotonous and awful. The actual boss battles are fun. I actually like showdowns that are just a string of boss battles.
