Is it just me or are solo homeruns 99% of the offense in RS??

Seriously almost every game I play in online is like this. Both teams offense is solo HR only. Occasionally I will manufacture runs but my opponents are always solo HRs. Makes it pretty boring

Always. I stopped playing online because if it. It's like the "He shoots!! He scores!" Hockey kind of feel.

Only time it's not a solo HR is if a walk a guy. Then the next batter hits a HR no matter where I throw the ball. I got my 5 wins in FOD, back to offline for me.

So yep. What is the average of that in real life?

Well, in all fairness isn't that the MLB game right now? Too hard in this game to string hits with PPP and connection/server issues.

That's the majority of the runs I give up. I think one recent game I played I gave up 4 hits and 3 of them were solo shots or something.

I was curious so I looked it up. 4,109 homeruns hit this year... 57% have been solo.

It happens every year. The game plays well at launch and just needs some minor tweaking. For some reason they spend the next few months over-tweaking it and it eventually ends up being a HR or bust game.
But there's no longer manufacturing runs at this point. It's a HRD.

This is my one huge gripe with this game. I like small ball. Manufacturing runs. This HR fest gets old. I played someone the other day...You might have to look up my history but I believe he had 9 hits and 8 were HRs. His one non HR was a grounder that hit my pitcher and he out ran it....I have never seen so many pitchers hit by grounders either!!!

It’s just like most sports games now it seems. NBA seems to be all about the three with those out of position cards, MLB is all about the long ball, NHL is cross crease or toe drag. It shows you how lazy these companies have gotten with development because this has been the same thing for years with all these franchises.

It’s not the tweaks; it’s the OP cards influx that all break the 99 ceiling since 2019 that throws the game off-balance

Yeah that's a good point. It's the ridiculous stat scale that they use. Should be capped at 99. I'll never understand why they did this.
