Is anybody actually having fun with RTTS anymore
-
This might just be me but I just don't have any fun playing rtts anymore especially when I use my batter. There is just something about the hitting in this years game that is making a lot less enjoyable then when I have played it all the previous years since 15.

Nope I haven’t played in about a month
-
I fire it up now and again for brief stints but I don't know why. Carry over saves are gone and I don't expect them to come back. There is no way I will come close to finishing the career. Shoot I am still in triple A.

Gave it about an hour back in April and haven’t touched it since. Disappointing because it was almost exclusively what I played in 19 and 20 (and I rarely played anything but The Show since 2014).
Have played a little Franchise but now enjoying Battlefield V for the last few weeks, which I largely ignored since its release. Much better than I gave it credit for.
It’s a shame RTTS got butchered. Let’s hope it gets fixed in 22.

I used to play rtts for hours upon hours last year, but since we’re able to use them in diamond dynasty, it’s ruined the ability to sim something to gain quick xp or what not. Sometimes it’s nice to skip a few weeks in double A in order to train and progress.

Just hit AAA after playing as a 2 way in AA for about 70 games, Really enjoying my save. Surprised at the hate for it this year, enjoying it more than 20 due to being able to play DH,2B and SP becuase of being 2 way.

Yes-Still playing 20.

I'm still playing RTTS, in 21. It's definitely more frustrating that I remember it ever being before, but for the most part I do still enjoy it. Hitting does seem more troublesome - my guy was rocking and rolling till he made the majors. Now, he's doing all right, I guess, but it just seems like a lot more of a struggle.

Having a lot of fun with RTTS 2020, they screwed the dog in 2021.

When they removed the carry over saves I quit the mode. I played RTTS exclusively since 15. Never touched DD before. Now RTTS is dead to me. I only use my Ballplayer in daily moments when It is required.
-
I played some this year to see what it was like but without carryover saves I just can't justify it. I mainly play DD so I don't get very far into a RTTS season each year. I have no desire to continue playing two or three minor league seasons year after year.

No. It's dull as dishwater. And you can't restart from scratch.
There's no story. I hit 40, retire, get into the Hall of Fame but the game barely acknowledges it, etc.

I was getting burnt out on the show 20, and since I just got my PS this year don't have any other games, so I started doing RTTS 21. I have to admit after reading all the complaints about progress I was either super lucky or something else was at play. I don't know if this information has anything to do with my player, but I created him as a power hitting left handed/throwing first baseman/SP. My created player is base off a fictional character I read about in a book when I was a kid. Ironically he was a two way ballplayer, but I declined to use the pitcher part of this game because everyone warning about being left off of post season rosters.
I played first for a couple games and get the talk from the manager asking if I wanted to pitch or not. I declined, and for some reason they did not put me back in at first base, but at second. I checked my prototype and it was for first base as a key position. So I am now a left handed throwing second baseman, and because of this we have probably failed to turn the double play when I am on the pivot about 99% of the time, which is NOT a surprise.
My AA experience was like most. Had a solid season, made the all star game and about a week later was promoted to AAA. I did well in AAA for the half season I was there and got the spring training invite.
I go down to AZ for spring training and I absolutely tear the cover off the ball. I ended up leading the team in batting average, homers and RBI, and as expected still got sent down to AAA to start the season. What happened next is not like anything I have seen anyone talk about, so I don't know why, but I get back to the minors and I absolutely exploded. I hit 8 homers in 9 games and get called into the managers office. I figure it's time for them to ask me to pitch again. No, I am getting promoted to the show immediately. To say I am super stoked about this is an understatement. I probably will play a while and then back off if I burn out on this.

I uninstalled the whole thing because I'm piching and my team still end up losing somehow or they pull me out too early and repetitive pitch tell throw a knuckle curve every [censored] time

I messed up my RTTS experience this year a bit, because I doubted my own skill at the game. I... thought I'd get taken out behind the woodshed if I messed around with the higher difficulty levels, so I stuck with rookie, and ran with it.
Had a great time in the minors... apart from one of the worst slumps ever I mean, that was a rough patch... but for the most part, it was good.
After I got called up, I... smashed. Hit like 75 homers my first season, and notched somewhere around 80 my second. Stickler for realism that I am, I got a little too deep inside my own head over this.
I've found that playing with hitting set on Veteran difficulty and pitching set to All Star is the perfect match for me, and it's been pretty all right for me since then. Have a rough patch now and then, but for the most part, it's good.
I do wish I could play around and have multiple RTTS games with different characters though. I love creating characters, and I had a couple in 20. I had a blast in that game. I had my shortstop... well, my left fielder that I wanted to be a shortstop... who became my ballplayer in 21, and I had a starting pitcher I really liked as well.
