U shouldn't be able to r2 once u select ur pitch
Exactly because it messes you up when you're trying to locate the pitch.
When they do that I pretty much throw it it the dirt if they are swinging a lot. I try to hit the corners I don't usually throw way outside the zone even if they swing at everything
-
They can only hold it down for a certain amount of time just wait that 5 seconds of them cheesing and get them out
-
I haven't seen quick pitching in over a month. I HAVE seen R2 babies galore.
I used to say R2 away since there were so many quick pitch a-holes, but it's flipped for sure.

They can wait though some pitchers u can see when they select a pitch and will hold r2 when you are trying to place the ball
-
Just step off every time they hold R2. Eventually they get the point.

@Beattie76_PSN i like this strategy then message them is this what you wanna do lol

Stop holding and spamming R2 EVERY pitch. I just want one game without the spam just one. SDS deactivate the [censored] button in Rs. It's still messing with the timing!
I guarantee nobody use R2 for nothing other than being toxic. I see everything and if u need a break pause the game. This community full of lames

No I'm not quick pitching. People be pressing this [censored] button alllll game. I can understand the first time I bring out a pitcher you wanna check the pitches etc. After that? It's purposeful exploit.
You do realize it shows the location of all of the pitches you've thrown in that at-bat, right? It's not just about checking the pitch repertoire. It can be used to help see patterns in what you are throwing.
Do some people abuse it to slow down the game to a crawl even if you aren't quick pitching? Absolutely. However, R2 serves a purpose and it won't be going away any time soon.
How does holding it the second and third pitch show my tendencies fam? Ive thrown one pitch.
People tend to revisit locations. Sometimes I use R2 to check the exact spot and line up my PCI. It's led to more than a few perfect perfect homeruns.
Doesn't take r2 Every Pitch to figure that out. It takes one time.
It doesn’t take every pitch but it takes more than one time.. for me at least. It’s there, so I use it and it shows you alot. It shows you: pitchers energy, pitchers confidence overall, pitchers repertoire, the last AB/pitches of current AB (which lets you see patterns or even tunneling), what pitches are most to least used in the repertoire (not a big deal but still nice SDS does it), it shows the speed per pitch, and also the confidence per pitch. Might’ve missed something but that’s what it shows. Video game or not, it’s an edge and I’m using it.
-
I must be pretty chill to play because I really don’t care if people use it or not. If you need me to take a couple of extra seconds, I don’t mind. It will probably help me to slow down and take my time too.

I disagree but to each his own. If someone’s doing it every single pitch, holding it for a long period of time a lot, or you see them doing it a couple times as your waiting to throw. then yeah, they’re abusing it.

But who needs to read pitch locations? You can always press pause. I press R2 and release it before the OP noticing. There’s absolutely no reason for it. Like u said my opinion. Anybody who presses it more than twice an inning are abusing it also

A lot of people. It’s there, so people use it. But.. a lot abuse it too though. And I agree, I do too because I don’t wanna be that guy. But I’m not gonna lie, I use it a lot. You can use it as many times as you want but if your doing like I said above.. then yeah your abusing it. I use it probably on average twice an AB but I do it quick so it doesn’t interfere with them. I listed a few post ago what it shows you. Maybe you agree or maybe you don’t. But that’s what it shows me.
