Sometimes you look back and go "why the heck did i post this?" That's me currently. Nothing here was said that hasn't been said a million times already.

People have been making these pronouncements for many years now, and yet the game lives on.

hitting has never been this bad though. Hitting in 19 and 20 was miles better than the steaming pile we've got with this game.

They won’t fix anything. Hitting is absolutely garbage. Ranked seasons is stupid. This is the first year I have been consistently playing at hall of fame and I hate it. The previous years I always wanted to play at this level to make World Series but now I don’t care to get to World Series ever. I never want to play above all star at least in this game. Sure all star is a home run fest but it’s better then a boring pitching duel game after game. I shouldn’t have to constantly be jumping through 4 different difficulties. Moments being rookie, and veteran and then jumping between all star and hall of fame on ranked seasons. It’s stupid the game is all about timing but yet SDS forcing me to play at a level I’m not going to ever be good at. If I want to play in All star I have to tank my record which is bs. They better do something different next year or at least make Diamond dynasty franchise or I’m done with this pitching simulator.

Same. I've been as high at 799 each of the past 3 (or is it 4) RS seasons and I hate it. 1-0 and 2-1 games nonstop. I like that you dont sweat on every single pitch like you do in RS but that's offset by games with 30 Ks in total by me and my opponent.
I've been 1 game away from 800 for the past week with Degrom ready to go but can't bring myself to play it out.
AS would easily be the most fun if they could find a way to reduce foul balls on that difficulty.
I FULLY recognize that my struggle on HOF is because I'm a fringe HOF player and not that good anyway just as I recognize only a few WS players can be consistently good on legend while most are very good on HOF.

If there isn't a significant hitting update within the next month, this game is absolute toast. Everybody is gonna find something else to play because nobody in their right mind wants to play a 9 inning ranked seasons game on the 2 highest difficulties just to struggle to even put the ball in play. Madden and Call of Duty both will likely be terrible games, but people are gonna buy them just to get away from this.
On legend difficulty it's borderline impossible to string together some hits. Almost all runs scored are off of home runs. I was in a stream yesterday of a top 20 lifetime player and he literally was going down 0-2 with every single batter, praying they didn't throw him something he couldn't foul off or hit a home run with. Not to mention every single pitch was coming in at the speed of light and moving like Michael Jackson in the 80's. Pitches break the exact same no matter where you throw them in the zone. A hanging slider, curveball, or sinker doesn't hang in this game. It still has the same movement as if you were throwing it low in the zone. Cutters thrown down down the middle still have a cutting movement.
Timing windows feel way off. Inside pitches are being fouled off time and time again because you're just the slightest hint of early, so you sit back a little and then you're jammed. I have almost never seen a line drive down the 3rd base line in an online match above 900. Timing windows on everything that isn't rookie or veteran is extremely unforgiving.
The worst part is that SDS knows these are all issues, hell most everybody knows these are issues. they just slap us on the wrist and say "here's more free content".
Don’t complain too much, there’s people on here that will say you’re the problem and not the game when a majority feel this way.

You mean you're not having fun hitting the corners on every pitch you throw with every pitcher. You're not having fun playing "who gets the lucky homerun" every single [censored] game. You mean to tell me that you are enjoying facing Jacob degrom every game online.... this game is trash
-
Yeah but the top players in this game are all still hitting from .380 and up over 400 as a team lol. I think SDS is just looking at the avg batting numbers and saying things look pretty good. I think it is definitely down from last year, but it needed to be. I was fine with hitting until a couple weeks ago. At least on HOF it felt fine. Now I'm struggling mightily.

People who are frustrated with the experience on hall of fame and legend might leave if there isn't a change? How will the game possibly survive when a whole 10% of the player base is gone?
I suppose the other 90% of us who lack the interest or the skill to play at those difficulties will just have to suck it up and power through during these dark times.

For the same exact reason Madden earned close to 1 billion in revenue last year... people love baseball and their are no other options.
