Degrom is so overpowered

His FB is 100-102 with a change that like 88, a low 90s slider.... plus a curve and running fastball. No fun facing him. I should just stat using hamilton and Lofton to bunt....

Something is definitely broken with degrom and Cabrera. It makes ranked season so frustrating. How do I go from scoring 8 on cliff Lee then almost hitting into a perfect game against degrom?
That’s in the event right now to see them 9/10 times .... I mean deGrom is the goat but jeez

I promise facing degrom makes me want to quit the [censored] game. It takes any skill out of the game.

I come from a 2K world where having the hands down best player likely involves serious real money spent or at least a very rigorous grind.
But I got DeGrom from a super easy grind a few hours after buying the game. So shouldn't everyone have him?

It's not whether or not everyone should be able to use him. It's that stamina and other mechanics in online play are so broken that him and Cabrera are ALWAYS used because they're 'broken'.
Just like someone posted awhile back about a Common pitcher having a funky delivery. Once people found out about that; EVERYONE used him.
Now, if SDS was able to fix the stamina and high sinker issues and actually make I put matter; that would be a different story.
I've only used him offline (Conquest) and I can't seem to pitch with him or Camera for that matter. I think I have +4.00 ERAs with both of them. And that's on Rookie.
But, the way those two cards are online, along with other reasons, is what I have t played ONE SINGLE game of Ranked and very rarely have played an Events game.
If I need online stats for Dailies; I'll stick with BR and hope I can get them before breaking the bank in entry fees.

His card is a cheat code even on HOF.. I was at 898 and just got 1 hit against him in 10 innings.. lost 1-0… smashed my fan no big deal

I'm a .280 hitter in RS (not great, but also dealing with an old-gen system) and a .383 hitter in BR with two flawless under my belt, and I just have to say to all the naysayers here:

It's ridiculous when you factor in framerate drops. I'm ok against Degrom. I can make contact if I figure out their pattern. But then when I have two runners on, the framerate lag kick in hard, and it's 9 straight pitches that all look like strikes as they stutter into the plate as I drop to the high 30s in frames per second.
They've had OP cards before, but nothing like this. Newhouser was pretty OP for most of last season but when you saw him enough, you knew he was bound to hang one.
Adding extreme control to these fireballers, combined with all the other little issues that have gone unresolved, makes Degrom an auto-quit for me. I've said [censored] it to World Series, something I made last year. Might become a BR hero and try to get one of those fancy 5,10,25x banners instead.
The worst part is whether they know it or not, they're going to lose people to Madden and 2K over one free card.

This game overall has been a huge disappointment. Hitting is all messed up, overpowered 150 mph throwers, unhitable high sinkers, and crappy servers.

On Series S, yeah, it's been pretty bad.
Just tried creating a stadium tonight that only uses 10% memory. No stands, no fans, the lightest weight of everything in the game. Can report back if interested if it helps.
You're lucky you got WS when you did lol. I'm totally fine on All Star, even against 102. But HOF Degrom with runners on would trigger epilepsy if I had it lol.

Two things I think help with pitch speed with Outlier From my own observations;
Play in a non peak time

Generally people start pitching really fast with runners on, plus the pitcher pitches from the stretch instead of a wind-up.
Use R2 to slow or down if needed.
