Did exactly what I was told to do by the “experts” on here. Take exit velocity perks. Don’t swing until two strikes. Same experience as always! Despite Sixto being in the upper 70s for pitches I mustered two whole runs. Grounded into 3 double plays. Had 4 balls die on the track. One where he put the glove up and nabbed it on the top of the wall. The pitcher never stopped hurling 100 mph sinkers at me the majority of the at bats. Said it before and I’ll say it again ….HOT GARBAGE

Have another go at it. I usually go for bunt cheese perk. And then I pick a mix of speedster and huge power guys. All the get x hits or x bases missions I just cheese them. Not saying showdown isn’t kind of like a carnival game. There are some rigged elements but I still think that it’s not overly difficult.

I did it first try. Using contact perks and contact swing. Pick Soriano if you can and bat him first. It is very helpful for a couple of the showdowns.

You're not gonna like hearing it but the only answer here is to keep trying and get better at reading pitches. From your past posts/all star banner and the fact that it's your first year it seems like you aren't very good at the game yet. I'm not trying to insult you it's just fact that this game has a very sharp learning curve. Stop letting your success/failure decide whether you think something is good or not.

Appreciate the half positive spin. But there is zero excuse for the showdown to be “tilted” heavy sliders. I almost never lose to the AI on All Star yet I can’t win a single time on pretend veteran in showdown. Complete BS.
