Have to say I’m a bit miffed here in the three point rating difference. Their numbers offensively this year are similar but the three year window has Reynolds as far superior.

Defensively Mullins is slightly better IRL, but not enough to justify the difference.

Reynolds had horrible splits last year and is batting below .300 against righties which even tho he still has a good average its not at Mullins level.(I'm also pretty sure vs roghty stats are weighed higher in overall). Also Mullins really only has 2 years worth of stats because he really only had about 60 ABs in 2019. I don't think they should have a big gap between the 2 but Mullins being higher does make a little sense

Mullins also strikes out less and steals bases which will pad his overall

Mullins is the flavor of the year, came out of nowhere has 7 diamond cards, Reynolds has more of a track record it seems like it’s harder for them to get upgraded… It’s like last year with Karnichak and Devin Williams, come out of nowhere and get to diamond and guys who have been consistent relievers stay where they are at.

SDS claims they use a three year track record, but if they do that there is no way that Mullins should be higher.

That's because young guys don't have a track record to count against them. If they come out scorching hot they will get upgraded quicker because there is no bad history going against then. That's why Karinchak and Williams have both dropped back to gold and will have a harder time getting back to diamond a 2nd time than they did the first now that they have bad stretches.

Disclaimer: this is not me saying SDS is great with updates, they make a lot of upgrades/downgrades that make absolutely no sense. I'm just saying I understand why Muins is a little higher than Reynolds right now.

I’m knocking Mullins, I’m also just trying to explain that usually these guys like Mullins and others get bumped so quick and track or consistent record guys have to work harder… Thats not saying Mullins isn’t deserving of being a diamond.

Wait a few weeks…Frazier plays for SD now and that is an automatic boost.
