It's honestly amazing how good this game is

The graphics, the gameplay, different modes, the different moments, all of the legends, RTTS......this game seriously has it all. Never in all of my years did I think I'd see video games come this far, and this game is the best sports game out there at the moment by a country mile.
A major pat on the back to SDS for what they have done, I hope they continue this for years to come.

DD is the absolute best part of this game. Obviously there are tons of babies on here who cry everytime something doesn't go their way....but

For me, the best part of the game is easily Moments, far and away the most fun to be had.
I only wish they would bring back Immortals instead of giving all these great cards away for practically nothing.

Sounds like sds is accomplishing exactly what they want. Get ya all worked up with flashy 99 cards, good graphics and then lay a steaming pile when it comes to actual gameplay. You must be new, and exactly the type of kid this company feasts on

It is a very good game. Those who disagree have been playing versions of the game for too long.
Every game will get stale at some point. You’ll see all the dumb animations over and over again, same commentary. But for the casual, great game.
This is definitely the best version too. I think they really nailed it with content for the most part outside of moments (aka time sinks)

I just got done defending the game from someone who said the game gets worse every year but the graphics were slightly disappointing on next gen which will hopefully see more of a true next gen upgrade with 22. Outside of the fluky non squared up homeruns and bloop [censored] hits which have been an issue since they switched to the ball physics hitting engine, this years game saw some great improvements especially with check swings and pinpoint which they actually improved with the patch.

But what if something doesn't go your way through no fault of your own?...
...like fielding a routine ball and easily stepping on first base for the 3rd out, but instead he steps around the base and just stands there allowing the runner to reach safely:

...or a failed squeeze play, your catcher should easily tag out the runner coming home but doesn't, and then after throwing it to the 3rd baseman, you preset the throw to home with perfect release on 'green' meter, but instead just holds onto the ball allowing the runner to score:

These are just a couple examples, which I have so much more. But if these examples happened to you, wouldn't you have the right to be upset?
Yes, this game is amazing. But depending on how you look at it, it can also be amazing in a different way.

I actually agree, i love this game, but this game can drive you bonkers, especially the scripted unassisted DP at first base, for instance.

I agree with this poster, and find it well balanced. Most of the complaints I see seem to not watch real baseball. In real life, a lot of perfectly hit hard balls go for outs. Pitches off the plate sometimes go for big doubles or home runs. The most dominate teams win ~100 games out of 162. And in games I'm in, even when matched against someone way better than me (which is frequent), the final score is realistic. I wouldn't want this game to be such that the gameplay is such that when you get really good all your players bat 800 and the scores are in the fifties. To me, it feels like baseball and I love it. My only complaint is that I enjoy it when the best cards are in the mid-90s and you can level up. I don't like it as much when everyone starts fielding 99 teams and most hitters have 120+ power and the pitchers are all ridiculous. I'd like an option to play RS with a team rating cap.
