And there it is, the final calling card of every childish baby on here. Call someone Ramone, congratulations
You ain't seen a final calling card yet. Well, not from me anyway.
Again, if you don't want to hear complaints..fix the bugs the customers report. Don't tell them some silly sideways approach to getting around the bug.
You're all Ramone to me..anyone that has the audacity to try to bully and blame customers reporting problems or raging about experiences. Those that feel it's so important to deflect anything negative about the game they rudely attack the customer base. You all represent the same thing.
What you do out is here is like working for a company and setting the complaint box on fire so you don't have to face the problems.

It's from lag online while using L1. I've had it happen a number of times. The best way to avoid it is by controlling the runners individually, as described by others.
thank you guys this is very helpful

You're like the kid that gets mad at his parents because you got burned on something they warned you was hot. People have given you workarounds and you refuse to use the. So yes you are the idiot here. I said we shouldn't have to use workarounds but they are there. If you choose not to do them that is just plain stupid.

When I have multiple guys on base I control the individual runners. When I have one guy running around base....let me ask ALL you guys this...when I hit L1 without taking control of that single runner what should happen? Why in the world of manipulated gaming..In the world of just plain logic...should I have to resort to directionally controlling the single runner on base when it's easier and The Documentation states...just use L1/R1?
So, you guys are wanting to paint this like it's my fault. That's rich and EXACTLY what you mofo's do out here.
Be accountable..that's all. Admit your mistakes..that's all. Don't try to repaint the canvas with these deflectional suggestions that the games fine..you ain't doing it right. Silly boys.
I didnt say it was your fault man. I said its caused by lag online. It wont happen to you playing vs CPU, but it will happen to you playing online. I've had it happen to me plenty of times. Its not "the game fixing a result" or whatever you are wanting to currently believe. Its lag, that's it.
-
I know it's been mentioned, but individually targeting runners is always safer, and it's a good idea to practice with it and be good at it. There's tons of instances where I want to go 1st to 3rd on a single or 2nd to home on a single, etc etc and don't want to advance all. Individually targeting and sending all my runners to exactly where I want them to go is just like second nature now.
-
Broken. Always has been. Select the runner manually or at this point it’s on you for knowingly using a broken mechanic
-
I've been getting better with targeting baserunners instead of using the bumper...my only issue with it is that sometimes I have to hit the stick two or three times to actually get them highlighted. It definitely is easier with multiple baserunners to use the bumper if you are wanting to advance all of them....but my trust on that bumper is pretty much nonexistent at this point.

How do you know its lag? No offense, but I don't believe you've got the metrics and measures to know this. Just like I don't have the metrics and measures to prove the game is coded to produce a "over-run the base out".
But, we both know it could go either way.
It's a very rare thing. I would think if were lag..it would happen all the time when you're using L1 only. Wouldn't you?
I only use L1 when I'm running a single runner around the bases. I hit doubles a whole lot and triples occasionally. This has happened about a dozen times.
No offense to you, don't take it that way. But way too many people have an agenda to smooth over a lot of the intentionally coded bugs in this game by saying it's network related or your controller has issues or whatever. Not having even the smallest clue for sure, because they are working from such a very small sample set themselves.
I believe it's a software bug..you believe it's lag. Neither of us know for sure.

Nope..you're wrong. You may be a good guy, you may be a troll, but in this particular instance..you be wrong.
Read the manual. L1 = Advance All, R1 = Return All. End of story.

Nobody said it’s your fault, in fact….the very first person to mention it said it shouldn’t be needed, and everyone else agreed. Who are you even arguing with?

Honestly how TF are you gunna argue it’s broken have everyone agree then tell a guy he’s wrong for agreeing that’s it’s broken. It was broken before you started to play this game. This is how you garner trolls for years to come. Enjoy, random will help you on here with false information, nobody else even responds anymore.

Never was an argument. I assumed it to not have anything to do with selecting runner and the L1/R1. My whole point has been from the beginning it's just another AI result instruction gone bad. Purpose to create an out situation. I also believe it would happen whether you simply used L1/R1 or selected that guy that overran the base and hit R1.
I know this..the guy was standing 6 feet off of 2B. Just standing there..perhaps because I did hit R1 after he bypassed the base. I really can't answer that, but the R1 instruction didn't return him to base..it hung him out to dry. He didn't attempt to return to the bag until the cut-off guy finally threw it to 2B..then, mysteriously enough, R1 worked and he headed back only to be tagged out on a bang-bang play.
Now if that's not a bug I'll kiss your frukin' azz. You can share all the happy HorseShot about you need to select runner..blah.blah.blah. But, the fact remains, R1 did not work how it's documented to work..and how it works 98.64% of the time.
That, in Six Sigma terms..is a MoFo'n defect!
The question begs...is it intentional to produce an out (the AI does things like that constantly..just generally hides it better) or is simply an unintentional bug that fell through the cracks. Even if it's network effect...still a bug.
-
This goes along with the above statement, but I think I do this out of habit.
If bases are empty and I hit an obvious double, I'll select the runner with the control stick and stop him at second (triangle for PS).
Maybe it'll help someone, I dunno; but there ya go. -

Its P2P, so games against different people will have differing amounts of lag. I've had games against people where I saw the ball get down in the gap and advanced my runners, only to find out that the ball was caught by my opponent and they doubled me off. That's lag also. What they saw was completely different than what I saw. Guys magically teleporting is lag too. It's not a scripted result or anything.
Everyone is telling you that it sucks, but you need to select the runners to avoid it.

Lol you're trying to argue about something that nobody is disagreeing with. Yes those buttons do those things. No they don't always work. Either do what does or stop complaining.

Definitely happens way too much, I can’t count the times I’ve been thinkin’ “wtf, why are you still running”. Base running in this game is bad, too many times my player stays glued to third on deep grounders in the infield, smh.

Experienced that as well.
Don't let "them" convince you it's your fault..how you improperly tilt your head while holding your controller askew while not exhaling in the proper rhythm.
I think there are a couple folks on here working for SDS marketing that have about a zillion profiles that attempt to manipulate, saturate, exploitate, and, basically mastertate everyone with their goofy gaslighting remarks.
