If you are struggling at hitting
-
I've tried it for it a bit and it seems it does speed up my bat a little bit. I prefer the PCI on though to have a point of orientation, but I can definitely see the benefit of turning it off.

In my opinion the only downfall of not having the PCI on is when you want to sit in a certain quadrant of the strike zone you are kind of guessing for example middle inside

This may seem like an odd question but is turning the pci off essentially directional hitting? Just because you are kinda aiming without a target. My first year since I’m Xbox and I feel like I’m changing my pci weekly because I get in bad habits
Yes. It is what they call directional hitting. I don't know about everyone else but I don't even move the left stick when I'm hitting. I just swing when the ball is over the plate. I choose what direction I want to hit it by the timing of my swing. If I have a lefty batting and want to hit it to right field I swing slightly early. If I want it to go to left field I swing slightly late. To me it works just as well as using the PCI.

True. To me it's also a mental thing. I've gotten so used to having the PCI there for all those years.

I would say directional is better than turning it completely off and I personally like the pci just as much as directional I switch back and forth when I’m in a slump

I was in a slump hitting, then i turned pci completely off. I am hitting the ball so much better. I feel Im more focused on the pitcher/ball and not on the pci. If you are struggling give it a try.
That turned me from a 196 hitter to a 296 hitter. The pci distracts me.

I’m kind of an in betweener…I turn off the two inner ones but leave the outer one on & don’t fade it. Helps me see & track the ball easier while still knowing exactly how big my contact range is.

Awesome thanks for the feedback. I might give it a shot since my hitting is too inconsistent. Not having to worry about the visual might help with my timing
-
Oh dang I just messed with this briefly on the daily moment and am already loving it. Gonna keep it for now

I got railed sometime back by insinuating that pci was relatively distracting,I feel somewhat sane again. Now all the Youtube big shots have theirs on and when I watch those supersapiens they never swing and miss anything. Puts a mere mortal in awe it does. LMBO!
