Trea Turner's defense

I have really enjoyed using that Puason card offline still even though he has no power. I will alternate between him and Turner. I don't play much ranked but I figure for my ranked games I'll keep Turner on the bench til I need a runner or want to pinch hit him for Puason in a spot where I need a little more juice.

I have him at shortstop. It seems like its real hit or miss sometimes. His speed helps his range to get to a lot of balls which is nice, but I get a bit worried with any ball hit with pace. Seems like he's always getting one of the heel or ole-ing it into the outfield.
-
put him in Center, hasnt made an error yet and gets to everything in the outfield, trust me hes in been out in center for about 50 games now
-
If you want to play him I'd say CF. His speed can overcome bad animations in the OF. On the IF if he boots a ball or is moving, he doesn't get good throwing animations and doesn't have the arm strength to compensate.
Idk if it's just me or not, but I feel like defense has been real sus the last two weeks. Bogaerts for example at SS, he's gold primary. I've had him and seen him for other people boot routine balls. He's also not getting quick throw animations consistently and giving up IF singles. I don't expect elite play with a gold shield, but these are routine plays.
Except at 1B, every Tom, [censored], and Harry is a 🧱 stopping everything.

I play offline only and Turner is a freaking beast. I randomly played a HOF game the other day in conquest because I wanted a stronghold and he went off with 2 hrs. Everything I swing at is a hit with him or launched into the stratosphere.
-
I haven't had any problems with him in center but have replaced him with Buxton for defense going into the 9th with a small lead a couple times just in case.
-
I use him at ss during these events. I swear the first 15 games everyone was kicking the ball around. Seemed like 1 or 2 errors a game. The last 70+ games i really dont think i remember makin an error. Just my belief but i swear if it was common defense it would be the samething, just dealing with randomness
-
I also value defense and but Turner is so good so I’m playing him at 2nd with p5 tatis at SS. I feel like the speed for CF is good but the arm and reactions might be a liability. He is just too good not to have in ur lineup
-
Give Xander bogaerts a try. He is by far the best SS in my opinion. He takes and plays a pretty good field. He is my lock down SS but when I wanted to put Groshans in during the 7th inning. Bogaerts played an outstanding LF. He was OOP
-
this is the truth.. had two errors with him in back to back innings.. both of which should have been double plays

I really want to get Trea's bat into my lineup, but I value defense very highly. I currently have Story locking down SS for me, so I'm thinking of putting Trea at either 2B or CF. Has anyone had any problems with him in either of these positions? Or is he passable enough? I have him parallel 2 so I'll get a silver shield in any spot. Thanks in advance
Without a doubt the worst defender I’ve had all year. 1 out of every 5 routine gorund balls will be booted. I had to replace him with Trammell just to get some solid play at short.

Want to bump this. Any AS or fringe HOF players care to share their feedback?
Turner played fine for me in the event but we know RS is a different animal.
Thx

I play him in center with Acuna and Trout in right and left respectively. My biggest concern with him is his arm. Combine this with using Trout in left and anything hit center left in a big ball park will be an issue. His speed makes up for 99% of the bad jumps he gets on fly balls. But his bat makes up for those mistakes almost tenfold. With Trout and Acuna on his wings their speed will cover an additional 5% of those mistakes.
Now that I got Harper from the BR program last night I may try moving him to second but Albies' bat may be too hard for me to replace. For whatever reason I click with his swing and he's been a perfect perfect machine. And short isn't an option with Chipper there since Castellanos' bat has to be in the lineup at third.

I have albies as well but really struggling with his swing for some reason. Even in events I struggled using albies but raked with Turner. I want to out him at 2B but worried about that defense lol

It's funny some of the cards I click well with and some I am just god awful. Perez looks great on paper and I could not hit [censored] with him, like .150. Put in JT and through 50 ABs I'm hitting over .450 with him. MVP Vlad, awful. Alonso, non stop homeruns. But Albies from his first swing was great for me. Same with Bogaerts and Castellanos but I think most people are experiencing that with them.
