Why are there auto-dive catches?

I dunno if the event with more balls in play rather than strikeouts in hof rs.....but ive seen a ton of 3b auto dive catches the past week playin the event. Makes me wonder why this option is on rather than have to be quick an dive yourself. Im usually pro-defense to speed game up but this seems odd to me. Is this sds way of making up for when the ball goes under the 1b glove

I see it during conquest so much. Hitting 112 mph perfect perfect line drives and bronze level fielders snatch them out of the air like they're nothing. I get tired of how fake this game is sometimes. I had one yesterday with the first baseman holding the running with one our. Hit a 112 mph PP line drive to RF and he snags it and tags out my runner mid dive back to the base. This game literally cheats.
