No more 7 inning Doubleheaders and X-tra inning rule in '22
-
Good for the extra innings one, i don't like it in this game, but I liked the quicker 7-inning doubleheaders.

better hope we just get a season period. cba expiring in december and a all out battle is coming.
-
I have no idea why they used it this year. I thought it was just for the shortened 2020 season.
-
Both rules were stupid ideas. Good riddance.

Don’t like the rules in real life, but do like the xtra inning rules when i play conquest games

The shame with baseball is this: In the pursuit of trying to preserve the game (whatever the fck that means), owners, players, GMs, the commish, etc. have instead altered the game in some terrible ways.
The game needs a pitch clock. I can go on youtube right now and watch a game from 70s, 80s, even the 90s in about 2-2.5 hours. The game takes too long, players need to quit whining, no one needs 45-60sec to setup a change up. Get the signal, reach back and fire! I kid you not: In the time the Mets played 4 innings of baseball, I watched an entire NBA Playoff game. think about that for a second...(and no, it was not a high scoring affair)
Pull the mound back. I love velocity and strike outs...are we not tired of everyone throwing 98? Reduce the velocity a little to help get more barrel on ball.
Adjust shift rules. Three infielders to a side is killing offense...either adjust the shift or promote drop bunting.
Launch angles, and this obsession with exit-velo and the HR ball by players, hitting coaches and GMs needs to go. 2-0 ball games with 12k a few pop-ups and balls hit to the 2B in the outfield freak'n blows.
Making baseball a great sport is not difficult, the energy and talent of the young players is bursting out. We need to speed up the game for the benefit of all involved.

To save the pitchers who hardly pitched last year. but then the IL has been overload all season, so it didnt help much.
