Really..Trout is not rare
-
The only time I ever got trout was the prestige 90 plus pack last year… But I usually pull whoever is the second or third highest live series a few times in the year.
-
I think he is pretty rare, that being said I got lucky and pulled him pretty early in the year. You have to remember there are a lot of people that play DD and the places you see that he got pulled are on forums and social media and that is a small percentage of players that actually play. People that take the time to be on forums like this and Facebook groups of the show etc are generally people that play a lot.

I’ve pulled trout 3x already this year. He’s rare but I think I’m top ten on the amount of packs I’ve opened
-
Pulled him for the first time a couple days ago for the first time in 5 years. He's a card that can change your team drastically because he sells for over 385k right now so yah i think it's a pretty big deal when someone pulls him.

Either folks are just lying out their keester's about pulling Trout..which is likely because everyone lies about everything when they believe themselves to be anonymous..or Trout has go to be the easiest pull there is.
Just went back through all the mentions of Trout in the threads this year. Not just in the title but replies as well. 142 Trout pulls. That's just on this forum. That's just ppl that even care enough to post. Who the freak knows how many folks out there that don't drop into this forum (thank your lucky stars you don't drop into this asylum) pull Trout.
It's prob a combination of both..bunch of lyin' mofo's and Trout is about as common a pull as Ketel Marte.
C'mon already. Trout ain't nuthin but another generic. Don't use him as your poster child to incite stub purchases.
Out of all of seasons of playing this game, this is the first time I've ever pulled Trout. I got very lucky and pulled him from a TA pack.

At least 123,253. That's how many green parallels there are.
-
I have only pulled him on days ending in a "Y"

If you finish the entire live collection except for one diamond card, and then only open packs to get that diamond card, you will see that all Live diamonds are as hard to pull as Trout. You likely will never pull that last needed diamond this year without buying tons of packs. I have heard that 90+ diamonds are harder to pull, but I do not believe that. If that is true, then that is secret market manipulation by SDS. Their odds say nothing except diamonds are 1:50 to pull (with the exception of special packs like the one at the end of the 4th inning program). This year I pulled Degrom, Tatis, and Cole, all as 90+ but not Liam Hendriks, and not Buxton, and not many other less than 90 diamonds. And I never buy packs. I earn plenty enough. I do not think Trout is any more rare than any other diamond. He is just more desired. If someone knows where SDS has ever said it is harder to pull Trout and other 90+ diamonds please point it out to me.

Technically they are harder to pull because there are less 90+ LS in the game then 89 and below.

Well ya, but individual cards above 90 are not harder to pull than individual cards less than 90. Yes as a group there are less of them so any 1 diamond you are likely not to get one.

I've pulled Trout 7 times this year. 6 times early and once 2 nights ago. I've pulled Trout more than I've pulled any other top player.
I'm extremely grateful

I want to know if when you pull a diamond, but before you look at it, has it been determined which diamond you are going to get yet? If it has not been determined yet, then that diamond is all diamond cards at one time and you have Trout. Then when you look at it, the wave function collapses and you usually do not have Trout any longer. lol

Im pretty sure its already determined. When you get a pack your friends can see you pulled so and so before you open it.

Darn! I guess I can stop praying after the pack is open now. lol

I somehow packed Trout off a standard pack doing the Juan Marishal program. That helped me get Chopper. Second year playing. I was in disbelief for a few minutes too.

Last year was the first and only time I pulled trout. It so happened to be shortly after I was able to save up and purchase him for the first time ever as well.
Same thing happened to me last year. Pulled him about a week after I bought him. The one and only time...so far...hopefully...

I don't know who that works for the company or has an agenda, is actually posting anonymously on this forum. I would bet every stub I've ever earned it's a lot with a lot of different profiles. And, that's ok and should be expected..it's their forum.
But, I could dig up tons of posts where the anonymous imply (outright state) that Trout is the most coveted and rare card around. It's like the holy grail of pack-land.
There is a reason for that. It reminds people that there lurks a card that is coveted. A card they do not have. This manipulates many people to spend money they might not ordinarily to pull that Trout card.
It's no deal to me personally. I don't fall for the manipulation tactics so much.
To answer your question. I have never witnessed an employee identified and credentialed as an SDS employee, or rep, make a public declaration at that granular of a level about anything.
Not to mention, with all the heat on gambling and loot-pack addiction, and other gaming companies changing their approach to packs on a revolutionary scale to avoid the wraith of the Feds....SDS would be more prudent than to formally cross that line.
Informally or anonymously? That's a different story.

Lol there’s probably over 100,000 packs opened every day, as a result there is a large statistical chance that a Trout is pulled every single day, it would actually be insane if he wasn’t.
I mean you don’t even need to look through the forum, go look at how many people have a Parallel of Trout. It’s thousands not 130 something.
ALL OF THOSE came from a pack, the FBI isn’t going to return your call.
-
The odds say 1/50 of pulling a diamond; they do not quantify more than that. It’s not on the up and up, but technically they’re not lying. If Trouts and other high 90’s were as common as 85-89, the market would reflect that. There’s a reason in years past and this year I keep pulling Bregmans, Springers, Haders, Olsons and others, but only one Acuna and none of the other 90s. Every year, my collection is 99.5% complete, and missing 5-6 gatekeepers to finish until I get the stubs to buy them or get a lucky pull.
