I haven’t watched any nationals games in June but has Kyle actually played behind the plate or are we just going by his PS flashback in years past that he will have catcher secondary? Because I’m pretty sure POTM cards are only that position in the month.

He does indeed have catcher as a secondary but it would not surprise me that SDS is just doing that as a flashback.

75 arm strength. Stealing every attempt I get. Probably not a big deal for the WS/Legend players but it is for us AS and fringe HOF players

Arm strength doesn’t really matter this year (I mean if it’s below 70 it might). So many times a 99 stealing 99 speed etc will get a bad jump or have that hitch in there step half way.

I have 2nd Half Gary Sanchez at P4 now, but he's out. Schwarzer is in, immediately!

He last played catcher in 2019 for 1 inning. But for the sake of usefullness he has it has a secondary. Much like Lindor, who hasn't played an inning in the MLB anywhere but short and has second and third as secondaries.

Yea trust me I’m sticking him in OF but under no circumstances will he be behind the plate with those attributes. Hells to the no

Carlos Santana:
76 Fielding, 83 Arm Strength, 79 Arm Accuracy, 77 Reaction, 75 BlockingKyle Schwarber:
80 Fielding, 75 Arm Strength, 94 Arm Accuracy, 80 Reaction, ??? BlockingThey seem pretty comparable to me and Santana has been solid behind the plate. Schwarber actually has an advantage if arm accuracy means anything when using the throwing meter, which I'm not sure if it does. I'm definitely willing to give him shot.
What you won't catch me doing is putting a guy with 48 speed in the outfield unless it's BR since most of the time you manage with the hand you've been dealt. Too many balls are going to roll to the wall while you get that "just out of reach" animation.

Good argument but You also have to account for the position penalty as well. I play guys like Dunn and Baines in the OF with no problem. Unless it’s Forbes field no one hits gapers. CF is really where you need the speed.

Schwarber with the -5 penalty is 75, 75, 89, 75 and 67. Very similar defense to Santana and way better hitter overall

He will hose people with 75 arm strength. Posada been lasering runners for months. Stealing is a crapshoot, lou brock could get thrown out by kenny Lofton if he were a catcher.

I have Gary who is scary Sanchez ( John Sterling call) who hits like a monster for me and always has in MLB the Show game for years. Sanchez, and I will never sub for him save to garner stats and ABs for others I have on my team on occasion. Good Luck to all who use Schwarber ......I will take Gary Sanchez The Kraken!
-
Well, Schwarber wasn’t blocking well the pitches in the dirt, consider getting him to at least parallel 3, maybe his blocking attribute at 70 becomes less of a liability.
