June POTM 7/7
-
For the past several times one of the POTM's for the MLB has also been a POTM for the show. My guess is we get Schwarber and I hope he has c secondary. Not sure why the June TN cards are so low. I just picked up a few more waiting for the release.

If you mean the prices, its because with the TN moments you get half the cards and when the program comes out you get the packs to get the other half, no need to market unless you sell some or skip a week.

What possible reason would they have to give him a 'C' as secondary given that he didn't play at C during the month of June?
You can get away with it on a LS card because he may have to play that position in an emergency capacity. With a flashback card, we know what positions he played.

Agree, but every other POTM has had their LS secondary listed.

I hope he doesn’t have it. I find it incredibly cheesy for a guy who has played the equivalent of 16 full games behind the plate in his career and 8 total innings at C over the last 5.5 seasons, to be usable as a C. I get this emergency C argument, but I really doubt the Nationals would use him in that situation.

Why is a 17 year Old Jasson Dominguez rated a 96, currently higher than an All Star Mickey Mantle card? Its what SDS thinks is best for the game/making money.

Because the season isn't over.
And if you don't think there's a 99 Mickey coming somewhere down the pipe, not sure what to tell you. -

That doesn't take away the fact that a 17 year old should never have a card better than an All Star Mickey Mantle card. They have shown time and time again there is no rhyme or reason to their ratings and guys getting certain cards. It is what it is this many years into the game.

I agree with you but you're spitting into the wind.
DD is a grinding hype machine fantasy league -- with an emphasis on fantasy. The content creators brew up the newest bestest cards that will get players to oooh and aaaaah and put in hours.
This is the first year I've played DD from the start, including a good amount of RS, and I'm pooped. Forced obsolescence of cards as newer shinier ones are released is just a modified addiction/dopamine model.
