Hitting questions and best view.

I am somewhat bad with zone hitting so would it be worth it to use pure analog and what is the best view to use while hitting?

FWIW, I'm terrible at hitting, too, and have been for a few years. I'm using Strike Zone and PCI. What I'm really focusing on this year is taking pitches to try and help improve. Work the count. And honestly, it helps a lot. Unless the first pitch of an AB is a meatball down the middle, I'm not swinging. Even if it means I'm down 0-1 in the count. I want to work the count and get to as many 2-2 and 3-2 counts as possible.
I'm also working on not chasing the low and away stuff (low offspeed in the dirt is my achilles), as there's really not much a batter can do with those pitches anyway (rolled over ground balls, strikeouts). Make the pitcher throw more pitches. because the more the pitcher throws, the quicker his energy will deplete.In a nutshell, try to be patient and work the counts. Be less aggressive and wait for your pitch. Probably not anything that you don't already know, but this is the stuff that seems to be working for me this year.

Seriously, zone is a dumpster fire right now. You may actually be better off with directional (at least you won’t get as cheesed off with the results from directional)

I've used zone hitting for 18 and 19, but I haven't bought 20, so I can't help you with this year. But I always use the "strike zone" camera, it's a great closeup that allows me to focus on the path of the ball better.

I’m at a loss with hitting. I’ve switched back and forth between zone and directional, all kinds of different views, reticle colors etc.
IMO it’s just a lose-lose situation, and even if you predict a pitch, and nail it, there’s still a good chance it’s an out.
Nothing gets through the infield, sharp liners are always caught by the corner infielders, if it’s not a HR, it’s caught in the OF. Just miserable!
Not touching this game until there’s a patch cuz right now it’s just a strike out fest...BORING !!!

I have played every version of the show and when they introduce a new hitting method I like to give it a shot. I ALWAYS go back to zone hitting because it is the most rewarding and provides the most user control.
I personally prefer Zoom for my hitting view. It is the best I have found for seeing pitches low in the zone and it is more aesthetically pleasing than Strike Zone because you actually get to see your hitter and more of the stadium.

Try directional. It’s the most realistic and you don’t have any of that fake pci on the screen.

This is exactly how this game is meant to be played. Wait for your pitch. I don’t swing unless it’s down the middle. Same approach I have in real life baseball. Same approach mlb hitters. They hit mistakes. People are so choked about hitting and I have to admit DD just doesn’t feel right right now but it also seems they think they should be able to take a 100 mph fast ball on the corner out of the yard. Just doesn’t happen. Zone up down the middle and tattoo mistake pitches. That being said I don’t leave my pci in the middle. I go 3/4 of the way or at the top of the strike zone. I have a tendency to move the pci down anyways. Also. Really hard to move it up towards a 100 mph heater as a posed to getting it down to a 80 mph change up. Another thing to mention and what makes this game great is how true to life the hitting is. You have to soft focus the pitcher and pick up the reread point. One other thing that helps is to pay attention to what and where your opponent pitches in certain situations. You’d be surprised how much this helps. In short. Zone up over the middle work the count. Until you have to strikes on you. Then battle. This game really comes down to who is the most disciple for at the plate. Force guys to throw strikes.

I agree. People just get frustrated that they can’t hit. Takes away from how pretty this game is. I play strike zone three. And have no problems hitting. I like zoom and fish eye 2 as well. Even show 15. Gets you right close to the pitcher if you prefer that and you still see the batter. I just like the pitcher a little further away. I feel it give you more time to read and swing. Too many people just give up. Watch you tube and go the easy route. Like playing directional. Nothing more rewarding than sitting up high reading curve ball out of the hand dropping to the bottom of the zone and depositing one in the upper deck whit a little bat flip action. Practice boys. And not in dynasty. You’ll just get frustrated.

Recently, I switched from Strike Zone 3 to Strike Zone Offset and then switched to Offset Zoom and I've been hitting better than I was before patch 1.04

I envy your ability to have fun by playing a game that literally requires no skill other than pressing a single button
