So my opponent had Ohtani and I believe parallel 4 plus he may have been up on IE idk, but his H/9 were insane and the PCI was microscopic
I almost got that boy to parallel 4. Can't wait! Dude was leading my team in HR's for a bit. He's unreal if you ask me.
Either I’m having an off night or he was just insanely hard to hit on legend, probably both

I play with an outcome independent mindset on Legend. I enjoy the extra hard challenge. Some days I can’t hack it but some I can. I think to myself, “if the elite can do it, so can I” and wait for the day I hack into their abilities.

Thoughts? I’ve seen posts on here about others feeling that online play is hardly enjoyable and I’m starting to feel the same
Also consider we have 0 end game hitters but 3-4 pitchers that easily could be. Whenever more good hitters are released it will be more balanced

Legend is ridiculous and not fun. Even some top 50 streamers only score 2 runs of 5 hits. Its boring. Hall of fame is the best difficulty by far. Contact swinging on all star is almost no user skill needed. Unless you opponent swings at pitches a foot out of the strike zone its almost impossible to strike anyone out.

See, I’m also one that loves a challenge and trying to improve. But I literally don’t see how you’re supposed to be able to hit when playing on legend, it’s just bad how hard they made it. Incredibly fast pitch speeds coupled with marble size PCIs is not fun at all and needs to change or I see myself getting burnt out on this game a lot sooner this year as compared to last
Even HOF is like ehh, yeah I’ll play but do I really want to deal with the BS?

Whether it’s connection based or whatever, that’s the issue this boils down to: there is ZERO CONSISTENCY to this game
One online game, pitches look 200mph and you have to sell out on a sinker or 4 seam to even have a chance to hit it.
Next game, that same sinker or 4 seam looks more smooth/slow and now you’re early...makes 0 sense
Idk if I’m just in a slump or what but I’ve had 0 enjoyment playing this game this week. RS on HOF and above is hardly enjoyable. Events are terrible and don’t play consistently at all and BR is the biggest joke in terms of being competitive
Idk, maybe I just need a break from this game but I’m just simply not having fun with this game and online play at the moment and I thought this years game was amazing at first....sad how quickly that’s changed due to a lack of improving the game, and addressing hardly ANY gameplay issues since launch

Their PCIs on legend against Ohtani were the smallest I’ve ever seen...like why make 2 of the literal best players in the game be [censored] near totally worthless against a low LS Diamond? Just proves that this game is way too heavily skewed towards pitching and hitting is just a little too difficult and still way too random

I’m with you but it’s finding that middle ground which seems impossible for SDS.
Keep pinpoint pitching so that we’re not back to last years random pitching
But also, pitch speeds need to be slowed down a touch and on HOF and above, PCIs should be a touch larger
Hardly anyone prefers a low scoring pitchers duel over a slugfest

Yeah Ohtani's per 9s while up on IE are a little extreme IMO. I haven't played at all on legend, maybe 1 game, but HOF yeah isn't great. On the bright side though Allstar gameplay is at least better than the past few years IMO. Part of that might be not playing at shippett nearly as much as last year but HOF+ sucks so bad I would rather play on allstar, which is must different than I can say in the past. Maybe AS isn't better than previous years, but facing Cabrera on HOF sure makes it feel like it is

I used to think all star was absolutely garbage, and for the most part, it still is in terms of incessant foul tips from contact swings etc.
But I will say, i probably have more fun playing the game on all star...at least in ranked seasons
Competitively, HOF is still the best mode but I agree that pitch speeds on HOF are a little too fast (seems like legend from last year). I have to be locked in to score consistently on HOF and I’m 52-6 so....
Idk, just frustrated from my last RS game, BR is infuriating with freeze offs and just the way the game feels like it can be taken out of your hands. This event is also ehhh since it’s at Polo...so yeah, I have 0 desire to play this game right now
I’m sure I just need a break but I can’t remember feeling this turned away from the game in the past

I don't see hall of fame being an issue. Once I make WS in the past season I stopped playing because I didn't want to play on legend. This season I made WS after winning 21 games. I completed the BR program and got 25 wins in the event for jasson so there's nothing left to do so now I'm struggling through legend to get the 40 win RS pack. I find offline vs computer to be Mindless and boring so I'm not repeating conquest or some nonsense like that. I like competition vs another human.

100% with you, I despise playing the CPU and avoid it at all costs. I love the competition that playing another human provides. That’s why I love this game. That’s why I love ranked seasons
HOF is good for the most part and usually I’ll average 4-6 runs a game. But I also consider myself better than most sitting at 52-6 in RS and have gone 12-0 twice (not to brag, just to back a point) and I guarantee 80% of the players that reach HOF and play at that level, don’t enjoy it due to the pitch speeds and small PCIs

Incredibly fast pitch speeds coupled with marble size PCIs is not fun at all and needs to change or I see myself getting burnt out on this game a lot sooner this year as compared to last
Even HOF is like ehh, yeah I’ll play but do I really want to deal with the BS?
I don't see hall of fame being an issue. Once I make WS in the past season I stopped playing because I didn't want to play on legend. This season I made WS after winning 21 games. I completed the BR program and got 25 wins in the event for jasson so there's nothing left to do so now I'm struggling through legend to get the 40 win RS pack. I find offline vs computer to be Mindless and boring so I'm not repeating conquest or some nonsense like that. I like competition vs another human.
100% with you, I despise playing the CPU and avoid it at all costs. I love the competition that playing another human provides. That’s why I love this game. That’s why I love ranked seasons
HOF is good for the most part and usually I’ll average 4-6 runs a game. But I also consider myself better than most sitting at 52-6 in RS and have gone 12-0 twice (not to brag, just to back a point) and I guarantee 80% of the players that reach HOF and play at that level, don’t enjoy it due to the pitch speeds and small PCIs
Its possible they don't enjoy it but we don't want the game going back to 2018 where everything was so slow that it was ridiculous. I think the bug problem is the sinker. The flight path makes no sense it's like a magical floating ball coming in at 120 mph. Legend should def be slowed down a tad. From hof to legend its like a completely different game. I bet if legend was more fun you would have played more than 58 RS games. Legend is a chore.

I never thought I’d ask for the game to be made a little easier but my god, after playing my last game on legend I don’t understand how anyone finds that an enjoyable experience
Even contact swings with 99 Jackie produced a PCI that was barely bigger than the ball...coupled with warp speed pitch speeds...no thank you
And this is unfortunate bc ranked seasons is my favorite mode but playing this year just seems to be more of a hassle than enjoyable with how legend plays
I’m sure many feel the same way about HOF as well...maybe tune down pitch speeds just ever so slightly? Idk, I pitched 10 innings with Vida and had 20ks with him but still lost 1-0 to a dribble up the middle by Lofton. Game just isn’t fun at all on legend, and probably only enjoyable on HOF for those that can manage to hit
Thoughts? I’ve seen posts on here about others feeling that online play is hardly enjoyable and I’m starting to feel the same
Legend is ridiculous and not fun. Even some top 50 streamers only score 2 runs of 5 hits. Its boring. Hall of fame is the best difficulty by far. Contact swinging on all star is almost no user skill needed. Unless you opponent swings at pitches a foot out of the strike zone its almost impossible to strike anyone out.
See, I’m also one that loves a challenge and trying to improve. But I literally don’t see how you’re supposed to be able to hit when playing on legend, it’s just bad how hard they made it. Yup, never speak of 2018 lol that never happened. I prefer faster pitch speeds but you’re right, I usually stop once I hit WS but this year, I wanted to try my hand at legend and it’s just brutal
Also agree sinkers are a problem as well, just too OP
