Crazy he actually missed the tag…
What are you guys talking about? LOL
At the end of the video, I paused it that clearly shows the runner's arm touching/going through my arm that's holding the ball. If you notice in the upper right corner, it's when the pause time hits 1:44 left.
His hand goes under the ball when he’s sliding.
I suppose if you want to defend on what should have been an obvious out, then ok.
I’m not defending anything

You're justifying safe call....same thing.

He is safe technically. You should’ve gotten a better animation for the tag.

Bro it's July and they haven't done a single gameplay patch bro. They're not fixing anything.
-
In all honesty, not every single angle was played back. Yeah his hand appears to go through the catchers hand, but what I find the issue to possibly be is the AI is confused because they are already signaling safe even before the runner gets to the plate only because the pitch was not a swing. That runner would have been out if challenged in an actual game.

Bro, there's an update tonight that involves online. Also mentioned, is that there will be gameplay fixes in a future patch (contact swinging and more).

Dude, In the video he is safe. they are saying its bogus your catcher didnt tag him. Not that you didnt tag him. There is nothing we can do to make the fielder make the tag so it should have happened through animation and it didnt. He shouldnt have had the ball in his non glove hand either because if it gets knocked out of his hand it doesnt count as a tag. The catcher hould have tagged the runner with the ball in his glove with plenty of time to spare. Game has crazy animations sometimes.

100% agreed, had plenty of time to put ball in glove and tag with both hands securing the ball on the tag.

Lol, shouldn’t have been safe. It pisses me off that sometimes your opponent makes a wild throw. The first baseman gets off the bag to catch it and accidentally tags you. It’s all messed up

The inability to tag out baserunners is a constant problem, especially when it impacts the outcome of the game. How is this problem not fixed already?

I understand that this just a video game. However, given the scope of the situation, where he ties it up in the bottom of the 8th on a play where he is CLEARLY OUT, and then the very next batter, he grounds out into a double play going home to first, but for whatever reason was called safe at home to take the lead?
I believe this would infuriate anybody if this happened to them.
Did you equip the "tag perk" in the catchers loadout?
-
Tagging has always been an issue. I had to mind-boggling instances myself in the first couple event games. Both times the ball was bunted down 1st base line. 1B gets the ball and I automatically press circle instead of trying to go directly to the runner. The 1st baseman turns and runs stride for stride with the runner, even bumping each other along the way. Both times the runner was safe. Like dude you seriously couldn't reach over 8 inches and tag the dude during that entire episode? Lol

I remember back in 17 and 16 when you needed doubles for a mission, you could hit a single up the middle and just run to 2nd and had a good chance that the runner covering just would miss the tag and you would get a double lol. At least they have made leaps and bounds since then.

It still does that from time to time in Moments if you don’t slide to second; I always go for an extra base when the objectives are TB or XBH. Stay up and he doesn’t or misses the tag
-
I wish they made a rule if u square to bunt and u fail ur out

Same here. If you go into second standing, and do a hard stop on the bag, they usually miss the tag
-
Who cares where his hand is. The issue is that a real catcher would put the ball in his mitt and tag the runner so the ball wouldn't pop out of his hand during the tag. Horrible animation. The runner was clearly out.

Lmao but then they enter Keirans thread and tell everyone to keep it clean when nobody is doing anything negative in any way. This years PR is truly terrible.
