How do we know the hitting patch didnt make the game better?

Theres a chance if they slowed the fast balls down a bit the hitting will work better than day one, The problem ive got is its nearly impossible to hit fast balls cause they seem to be like 115mph balls in glove before i can react at all, If you look on showdown on all star when cpu throws breaking balls im getting loads of hard hits when i get a good pci placement and timing , People online rarely throw slower pitchs if they do its always way out of zone only glitched pitchs hang which is rare tbh

Idk if you played the game the first few days, but hitting hasn't felt that good since 17. When you made solid contact you were rewarded and that's the way it should be. The pitching was the issue because it was hard to locate and no borderline pitches were called strikes. Now, the pitching still sucks, but you don't get rewarded nearly as much for squaring up a ball. The timing window also feels off, but that could just be me.

Because exit velos are all messed up and so is hitting feedback, to many good ok on dead centers.

I stopped playing online as of yesterday. I’m striking out 15-20 times a game on all star and can’t hit a fastball down the middle unless I swing before I see the ball released. Wish I hadn’t brought ‘20 because ‘19 still has replay value for me, since I never finished the last event or program. The cards aren’t good this year, the game plays terribly and isn’t much fun and everything is based around moments and showdowns (which are just moments merged with HRD) again. Thumbs down so far for this years title I’m afraid.
