so for the usa map if a team takes over another divisions strong hold will it still count towards beating teams needed for the division prospect pack?

for example if seattle took over san fran stronghold will beating seattle in their spot count towards the nl west teams still?

Nope only original stronghold teams

For the prospects cards, you have to have conquered each division team's original stronghold. It doesn't matter if that division has more or less strongholds later.

Yes. when beating a stronghold it will count as the original teams stronghold for missions if another had taken it over.
in your example seattle took over the giants when you take that stronghold it would count as taking over the giants stronghold,even though you had to play seattle to do it.
