I hate moments

I agree with OP. Moments are easily my least favorite thing about this game for all of the reasons everyone has been stating for years now (pitchers that refuse to throw strikes, endless pickoff throws, cpu runners that block your base running, power hitting moments with non power hitting players, etc..). Yet SDS keeps adding more of them every year and making them even worse. Like now somehow pitching a 7 inning shutout is a “moment” or winning a 3 inning game is a “moment.”

'I Hate Moments.' He says...
Moments are nice, as in hanging with a wife or girlfriend, or playing The Show....
Sorry, went off topic.
Don't think I've seen an 'I love Moments' thread ever, so we all agree on this one. -

I actually enjoy them for the most part. I might be the only one, but I wish they brought back the 17 style super programs and filled them with a bunch of moments
I'm with ya. I also look at it as a little practice, especially the situational moments.

Agreed, I thought the game in general was supposed to be fun and enjoyable, most of the bs these bozos put in the game is enraging and a f'in chore. I want to relax with games, not be f'in aggravated.

“But being aggravated is fun! It’s a challenge!” - SDS

And has anyone made these observations:
Despite difficulties on rookie or veteran, some pitchers velocity or control appears better than their ratings say they should, and your hitting seems tuned down sometimes. Like I hit way too many balls straight up the middle, or there isn't a perfect/perfect boost sometimes. I can't be the only one that notices these. -

I finish the moment in one attempt and I feel ‘at least that’s done.’
I finish the moment after 100 attempts and I feel ‘at least that’s done.’
I never feel like ‘wow, that was fun’ or like I accomplished something.
I only feel anger that I had to complete a moment(s) so I can get a card.
Playing the game is fun. Trying to replicate something sucks.
Yes, I know, I don’t have to play them, but they are a huge part of DD and it sucks.I don’t do them…..got like five days done this month because I kind of wanted Britton, but just couldn’t do it.
I don’t mind the hitting ones, but the pitching ones rip my soul out while I’m doing them.

Right? You see the requirements and then see 1 pt for your efforts. I'll just wait for the next one.

Trying to get the June Topps Now players for the collection in 3rd Inning program.
Moment is Yan Gomes hitting a walk off single.
I have Soto on third, one out, Gomes at bat.
They intentionally walk him.
LOL
I still got it finished with the next batter, but intentionally walking the batter of a moment where he is supposed to hit a walk off single? -
I have a limited amount of time each day to play this game. Some of the moments are so frustrating that by the time I complete them, I have lost the motivation to play events, BR, or conquest.

I agree with a lot of you. Moments SUCK. This Dave Parker program is garbage. This dude has great stats and can’t extend on an inside pitch to save his life. Not to mention the outfielders always know the exact route to cut off extra base hits when I get them. I’m pretty sure if Yelich was in left and saw a ball come off the bat at 90+ to the left center gap, he’d start going towards the wall, not directly towards center field where he catches the ball in left center

I suppose I see moments and Showdown, as challenges that require completion rather than something I enjoy doing. The thing is, that's how most video games were when I was younger. Whether it was games like Super Mario Bros, Castlevania, Metroid, Tetris, Super Tecmo Bowl, or Punch Out, they all have aspects that arent necessarily fun, but the experience of getting past the challenge was the enjoyable part of it. Those types of games had frustrating elements inherently built into them.
I guess I see the game and its modes as challenges that I get satisfaction from knowing I completed them, and because it's similar to the games i grew up playing, I dont have any issue with it.
