Is there anyway to play him in RF?

I’d like to when he’s low on pitcher energy.

Can you do it in the batting order screen before the game loads? Not at console, just wondering if it's possible that way.

Can you pinch hit with him for your starting right fielder?

Idk if you can or not, but if you can and you decide to play him there, just realize that his fielding will be god awful. I don't think it registers that RF is a secondary for his pitcher card

Ohtani's position on his card is SP. So just treat him like you would any other player as a Starting Pitcher. I understand that people may be thrown off because the picture on his card shows him hitting and that he may play in the outfield in real life as well, but his card is SP, and SP only.

Can you pinch hit your starting right fielder for a starting pitcher? Answer is: No.

Good to know. The starting pitchers are listed under the bench bats when you go to pinch hit, but I’ve never tried it before.

Actually, it's the bullpen that's listed under the bench which includes RP's, and CP's....no SP's. So don't get confused.

His card has OF as secondary position. I've never tried it, but I would say you can sub him in RF after the game starts.

You’re absolutely right. Hey, I had a guy bring in his 93 overall Roy Oswalt as a relief pitcher. And now that I think about it, I had a guy bring in another starting pitcher as a reliever in a different game. How are they doing that?

I’m almost certain they said during a stream that you could move him to the outfield if you wanted to bring in a new pitcher but keep his bat in the lineup. That being said, his card in no way indicates OF as a secondary position, so I don’t think I would risk it. At least not in an online game without testing it first.

His LS card says OF as a secondary position. Not sure about the FotF card, but I'm looking at it right now in a showdown matchup.

Yes you can. Pitch to three batters, go to subs, move him to right, but you’ll have to pitch with the position player

Sub an RP for your RF. Position Swap RF and RP. You'll have to pitch to 3 batters w/ 0 Stamina, but it's better than pitching with a position player.
