SON OF A BATCH OF COOKIES!!! An unhandled server exception occurred.

Hello fellow Show gamers,
I recently just bought disc version of the show. I want to try out Diamond Dynasty but am currently stuck in this stupid mandatory tutorial (as if I've never played DD before, but I get it, they need to make their money). I go to "Customize Your Squad," follow the guide to "Navigate" and then select "Manage Squad." It then selects its players, tells me to Press "X" to replace my shortstop. I, mindless dolt that I am, press X and immediately it quits and reads: Network Error An unhandled server exception occured.
Now, we all know it's not my internet connection. But to humor them, I've tried both WiFi and Ethernet, restarting, etc. Obviously it's a bug. I can still access Marketplace, just can't get past this stupid tutorial, which is where all the good stuff is att. My question is, does anyone know what can I do about it? You know, before I return this game to WalMart and partake in my silent protest. Thanks for you help! -

try deleting data from ‘Application Saved Data Management’ assuming you’re on PlayStation
This should allow you to restart and hopefully go through the tutorial right this time. Hope this helps! -
