Created player position problems

Have my maxed out 3b created player with a 98 fielding in at first base, it’s listed as a secondary position but he can’t catch a ball. Is that normal?

It is what happens when you put someone without a 1b secondary at first, for some reason the game does not recognize ballplayer secondary postions.
Nothing you can do until they release a fix for it. -

I found that doing this is also good xp.

There is a way to start your CAP at any position you want only in RS. I use my 99LF at the Catcher position. Now I have a Stud power hitter with 98 speed & good defense at Catcher
