Random Injury

Anyone else get a random injury after playing a RTTS game? I was playing last night, first game of a 3 game set, I hit a home run in the top of the 8th inning and then the game ends with no fielding opportunities followed in the bottom of the 8th or 9th. Instead of being able to select “next game”, I’m forced to exit to the clubhouse. Once there, a message pops up saying I bruised my hand and will be forced to sit out a few games. Nothing happened in game and I wasn’t taken out of the lineup for a bench player in that previous game either. I end up sitting out 4 games before coming back. Not a huge deal but I just found it odd that I was injured when nothing happened to me in game. Maybe my player got into a bar fight after the game? Who knows. Any one else experience something similar before?

Many players have broken/injured their hamate bone on a swing. Or maybe you high-fived a teammate too hard.

Lol yea maybe. Maybe I slapped the next batter on the [censored] a little too hard. Obviously though, any freak accident can happen while doing something routine or mundane. I guess I’m just surprised that I wasn’t notified in game right after the play it happened on like I’ve seen with injuries in other modes, like when the pitcher gets hit with a comebacker. Is what it is. Not a complaint, just more of a general curiosity if anyone else has had that happen to them. Found it strange.
