HOF enjoyable?

I guess I’m just getting old and sucking but it seems like 90% of players, if not more, can’t hit sinkers inside. The elite few, good for you guys. You have great vision and can see sinkers out of the hand.
To the normie like myself, we are screwed.

Some games are very frustrating but it just makes moments when you have a clutch home run or walk off hit that much more enjoyable. Just accept that you don’t have to win every single game to have fun. The weird YouTubers who sit in their room and have no social life or chance at feeling the touch of a woman go 95-2 and hit .400 on legend but is that really who you wanna be? The best clubs take 2 games out of 3 and are great but a 40-20 record is bad in the show? Nah man just have fun playing the game
-
Small sample, but I've played maybe 10 RS games on HOF this year. Between myself and any opponent I don't think one team has put up more than 3 runs in a game. Winning or losing constant 2-1 games just isn't fun.

Lol I'm cool with low scoring , tight games. I'm cool with not winning and can easily find fun in those experiences. 34 Ks definitely wasn't enjoyable haha

I think the elite few just are good at guessing and timing. There isnt time to read and react on HOF or Legend. I have played 2 games on legend, won both because I timed a few pitches right. Really becomes a guessing game
-
I’ve accepted I’m a 600 level player. Once we get to HOF difficulty I’m lucky to get 2 runs and my only chance is to pitch a shutout. No HOF isn’t fun for me. The pci is too small, the pitch speeds are too fast. I feel like I’m guessing every pitch.

Think I’ve beat Cabrera twice in a row now after being held to one run the first two games I faced him. Was still held to 2 or 3 runs. Starting to get used to his insanely ridiculous pitching ability. Not sure why he even has a 4-seamer if he never throws it. Also I had a very weird HOF game in which I won 13–8 or something with about 10 combined home runs. But my opponent used Lester and a bunch of bullpen guys and I think I threw Burnett

My first hof game last season the score was 13-8 my opponent won. But usually the scores are low and pitchers battles. It’s amazing how much the ball breaks on hof compared to allstar. But legend is another animal and if you think hof is hard get a legend game

imo I think its better than all star though for ranked but it also significantly limits player usage with teams basically being about the same 12 players since you have too. its why I plauy more events so I can play games with no stress and use fun people ( trea turner is a god.. ppl assume bunt and throw meatball high fastballs). I do get what youre saying but for a ranked game id rather it be 2-1 and close than some event games/ BR where its just slug fest. also this point in the game is pitcher friendly with glavine, lee, al, edward, crochet being better than most achievable hitters. i have trout from sheer pack luck and dante was free but still my lineup is outclassed and I think thats more of a community thing as well
-
Most of my games on HOF are 1-3 hit games with 2 runs scored at most. This [censored] is a joke. It's not like my opponent and I are having trouble hitting either with the amount of good-goods and perfects that end up being outs.

I can live with a good close game. I got no problems with that at all. 34 Ks isn't a matter of a good low scoring game. That's a close your eyes and hope you get a hit game lol

Players (including myself) have trouble with the sinker because of the broken pitching mechanic. When the sinker leaves the hand it goes higher resembling a curve or other offspeed pitch. Doesn't take much hesitation to then be late or completely miss an inside sinker. Sinkers are the most OP pitch in the game by far simply because of a flaw in the coding. Why can't the pitch leave the hand on the same plane as the 2 seam?
People that can hit inside sinkers are most likely selling out for them. That's pretty much the only way you can hit them.

Yea as someone who exclusively threw a 2-seam/sinker FB as my fastball in college (top 10 school). I threw low 90's and 95 is the hardest I've ever thrown. If the ball came out of my hand like off speed I would be considered a wizard and would have signed a multi million $ deal and not be on this forum.
Instead I simply faded out and wasn't good enough for the bigs. It happens. It's why I'm self proclaimed Washed.
I only bring up my resume to say that I have intimate knowledge of throwing sinkers. I think I gave up 2 HR my entire college career because of my heavy fastball. That's in like 100 games pitched. I wasn't a strike out pitcher because my slider was average. Didn't have that punch out pitch so I relied on my sinker. HOF/Legend would likely be way better without these physic defying pitches.

I just don’t understand why Edward Cabrera can consistently throw 100 mph sinkers but guys like Zack Wheeler and Jose Alvarado max out at 97 with their sinkers. And it also makes zero sense how a sinker acts NOTHING like a 2-seam FB in the game when they are the SAME PITCH in real life. I feel like I’m taking crazy pills! Doesn’t anybody else realize this?!? Ferrari, Le Tigre, Blue Steel, there all the same look!!!

Because Edward Cabrera has outlier on his sinker and those other guys don't.

It’s because they made his sinker 93-100 and the other guys 93-97. Alvarado throws everything 99-102 so there’s no reason for him to top out at 97. Wheeler also isn’t topping out at only 97 with his sinker, that’s his average velo. It’s poor programming. Another note: a 98 mph sinker should be the same perceived velocity as a 98 mph 4 seam, a 98 mph 2 seam, or a 98 mph cutter. Yet these pitches will feel like: sinker 102, 4 seam 98, 2 seam/cutter 94

It's because they gave Edward Cabrera the outlier quirk as I stated above....the outlier quirk allows a pitch to go past it's "max" velocity.
Just like Alvarado can go 102 on his fastball, he has outlier on that pitch.
It's not "poor" programming if it's intentional. Whether it should be that way is obviously debatable.

Pinpoint pitching needs to be nerfed a bit. I'm hitting just fine on HOF when I'm getting more than 1 pitch to hit every 3 innings. Against Cabrera, Glavine, etc. in the hands of someone who knows how to sequence and has mastered pinpoint, it's pretty brutal. Sinkers that start out over the plate at your head end up shaving the inner corner for a strike. Unless you're sitting on exactly that pitch, you're basically never going to hit it.
I think part of the problem is pinpoint, in its current iteration, makes it too easy to get a perfect result. I'm getting consistent perfects with like 78% motion accuracy. It should need to be like 95% or above. I love its addition to the game, because last year was a nightmare trying to pitch, but it needs some refinement. You can see it in the OPS's of people in CS and above. OPS's in the .700's when last year below 1.000 was a rarity. .700 and you weren't even smelling CS.
