Not way cheaper. I actually calculated it and watched over a few days. It saves you a few thousand. Silvers in the 77-79 range are almost the same cost, but it saves you literally hundreds of buy orders. That's worth it to me.

In case anyone was wondering, if you're starting at 0 affinity points and doing strictly 50,000 exchanges it takes.....

    380 70 overall silvers
    310 71
    250 72
    190 73
    160 74
    130 75
    100 76
    80 77
    65 78
50 79 (this is what I did for Gallo and Gleyber)
    40 80
    30 81
    25 82
    20 83
    15 84

You can save a bit in there by using lower overalls to get as close to 50k as possible, but if you're just throwing out bulk buy orders for sake of ease that's what you're looking at

For Gallo it saved me, at the time, 3k per 10 pts. That was 15k savings for 1 card. It adds up if you can find the deals and do the math. then be patient for the deals to come through. Last night, I just needed 10 pts for Blake Snell and spent 3.5 vs 10k on the golds.

I was at 25 stars. I bought 8 6k golds (1300-1400 in stubs) and a 1200 silver. That will get you 500000 for exchanges. Did it three times. Cost me about 30k. Probably could of saved if I put orders in but I was impatient

Yeah that's huge savings. When I was watching the cheapest ones for most levels were all within about a 4k range for the total 250,000 exchange points. To me at that price it was well worth the extra coins to save the buy orders.

They each cost me about 27k to do.

That's pretty steep. You're talking 20-30 K right there, ugh.

The tough part is the silvers and bronzes are so expensive (percentage-wise) than they normally are. Golds are still up, but not rationally as much as the silvers and bronzes. If they were closer to the quick sell value, I'd agree, it's better to do the cheaper cards.

I haven’t touched the affinity collections yet.. but are y’all saying the exchanges are repeatable?

I just wanna reiterate that you don't need to do any of the collections. You can either play showdowns (fastest but a bit challenging sometimes), or March to October on Hall of Fame difficulty for 50 TA points (easier, but more time consuming).

    Without doing a single player exchange, I have FOTF;
Soto, Buxton, Gallo, Tatis, Correa, Gleyber, Olson, Ohtani and Snell.

That's impressive. I would pull my hair out doing that level of grinding.

I'm always impressed by people who can grind offline modes for hours on end for cards. I don't mind a bit of offline stuff, but if there's a way to use stubs to save me hours of time I tend to just go that route. I know I'll earn more stubs playing the game

It's definitely not the most enjoyable thing to do, I agree. But it's the most effective and efficient way to get those cards so I guess I'll suck it up.

Just from Showdowns, I have Correa, Gleyber and Ohtani. One away from Snell and 2 away from Bell. Seems to be the best way to improve your squad imo unless of course you want to play a fake market for virtual cards all day. No thanks.

Or you can do what I do and have my kid grind MTO for 40 TA points then i get the extra using the 50K exchange for 5K lol
