Has anyone played an MLB player this year?
You can tell if their own card is a 99 overall.

Last year I played Jazz Chisholm. His username was his name plus he had a Chisholm 99 card leading off that didn't exist for us..
He quit in the 3rd inning after I was up 5-0 lol.
    He swung at everything..

Neither. No need for a cookie bud. Wasn't bragging. Dude is an MLB baseball player. Means nothing to beat a guy at a video game. He'd destroy me at baseball IRL obviously. Just wondering if anyone has played one yet, this year or last (as the show has recently posted this and asked the same question on FB).

I've played Sterling Sharp, the pitcher from the Marlins.

Edit: he's now with the Nationals, played him last year.

They must do it with legends too. I played jim Abbott last year and crushed him. Dude was just throwing down the middle and center swinging the whole game.

A little mean.... But also funny.. I'll allow it..

He's a lefty though, so he could aim but would just take pitches.. and you'd be sitting in the batters box for days...

Yea I felt a little mean typing it but couldn’t pass on the joke. He’s an amazing person and amazing story about not letting adversity hold you back.

And in my mind it was only logical for him to set the controller down and use his left hand for the buttons.

Very awesome story. He was actually really good too. Was an 8 WAR pitcher in '91.. incredible.

I got matched up with Anthony Kay I’m pretty sure. It was some blue jays pitcher. Didn’t know at the time but now that there is a real life card I noticed. It was like Anthony Kay the real of something like that in the card

Hmm? Kay sucks.. definitely a AAAA pitcher... The other guy (Woods Richardson) was the steal in the Stroman deal, not Kay.

Was just joking. Still think he is decent. Had some good starts so far this year.

    Jim Abbott threw a no-hitter in 1993.

None of on this forum can match his accomplishment in baseball or in succeeding against adversity in real life. Oh, and in college he was also well accomplished hitter.

I don't think anyone would argue that. He's an inspiration
