All I want for next year's game...

All I want for next year's game:
RTTS multiple ball players that start with a clean slate with each newly created one. I want to be able to have a 2 way player, a pitcher, an outfielder, a catcher.. who all start at the bottom 30 skills, not be 99 of everything on day 1. Where they all can be different builds and different characters that look different!
What happens when I retire? Start an 18yr that is fully maxed?! How is that fun?
I only play RTTS. If next year is tied with DD and have to be online to play, first time not buying this game in many years.
Also, does anyone even use their "ball player" on their DD teams? I think this was a total flop being a money grab decision.
Note: I never and will never spend money on stubs, micro transactions. They are such a rip -off as well as buying downloaded games. Can never get some money back unlike hard copy I buy
I do like the gameple itself in RTTS though and those improvements. Except the ball bounce. Every landed fly ball in right or left center is either caught or bounces over wall for a ground rule double.
Also eyewear and batting gloves need to be fixed still broken lol

Yeah, they need to give an option when starting a player:
Use your ballplayer or use a new player.
New player will never be able to convert to ballplayer and it would allow them to bring back year to year saves for non-ballplayer players.
-
I am right their with you, not even playing this year’s edition. It completely sucks
-
Totally agree but I'll add another thing.
Get rid of the loadouts!!! It's SO realistic that on Monday I hit for Power, on Tuesday I'm a Speedster that can drag bunt and on Wednesday I throw 99mph heater but wouldn't Hit the ball with a shovel at the plate.
Please make it that you build a player and that your decision affect your future and your development.
Wanna simple solution? Scale down to RTTS2020, get rid of the podcast that no one watches, add a narrative track and off the field events. Then, Boom! there you are, SportsGame of the year!
-
Yeah, loadouts are of zero benefit. I play one career and use the same loadout every day.
The caps set at 50 sucks, my player is maxed out after a season and a half.
The gameplay and graphics are fantastic, but this needs to take more after 2020 RTTS, much better.
-
completely agree with you. I want RTTS players to start as 18 yr old green rookies who have to develop...not have superhuman attributes because of previous players....

I want 2020 RTTS (Which I'm playing instead) back for 2022.

Making RTTS dependent on a singular universal CAP was a gutless and greedy move by SDS. The ballplayer thing doesn’t even work right in the DD portion of it because secondary positions still haven’t been fixed which sucks for DD players. It’s incomprehensibly bad for RTTS-only players. The fastest way to level up player archetypes is still by not playing the blasted game but simming instead. It’s absolutely terrible.
All I realistically wanted added for 21 was to have the cover animations fixed for playerlock 2B/SS, improved fielding camera angles more like 19s, and proper rotating interleague schedules like MLB actually uses in their old fully-fledged game mode. Instead I paid full price for the opportunity to try and make use of a hollowed-out mode, half-baked progression system, forced two-way player mechanics, the inability to add/change/and KEEP five pitches easily, far less statistics, no meaningful notifications, so many additional microtransactions that are absolutely insulting for the price I paid for this broken piece of [censored], a menu that automatically changes your appearance every time you go into it, and no clarity on when/how SDS is going to fix the mess they made of RTTS.
The only way I'm getting 22 is if RTTS is given far more thought and care and is less of a money-grubbing grind (TAKE ALL DD/ONLINE OUT OF RTTS)

I did try to get answers on SDS patching plans/update roadmap but apparently when you ask questions, some players that enjoy the game as it is are not liking it...
Unfortunately the debate is steered away from the original questions and I'm pretty sure we'll never get any legitimate answers from SDS.

They need to mirror why nhl 21 did with be a pro mode.
-
As a RTTS player, this whole release could not be worse. It is unplayable unrealistic and Unenjoyable so I uninstalled it, back to 2020 version

NHL 21 ruined Be A Pro also...No more playing in the minors developing the way you want.....Everyone is a superstar in Be A Pro now....so i went back to NHL 20 to play the game the way I want. The in game [censored] is stupid also....I am on a line with Anze Kopitar and the coach calls me the rookie to the bench to save the day. Calling BS on that (laughing)

As someone who hasn't played since the show 06 I would love to have the ability to import my own music, ability to make multiple players, get rid of forced 2 way player by making it a choice like in 20 (which I got after realizing how bad 21 was) you could pick any of the 9 positions with 2 way player as option 10, and perhaps as an option 11 the ability to be like a Ben Zobrist type and play multiple positions, and if they are going to have me negotiate for a salary, then perhaps have the money mean something?
Also I would like to see a better manager mode in RTTS. I have had multiple double digit hitting streaks ended because the manager sits me during a big hit streak, but then sends me to pinch hit in the 8th inning of a game we trail by 11 runs in. I am sure there is more, but I don't want this post to become a novel.

The 2020 version of RTTS

Ehhhh. I grinded rtts from 15 ta 19. Plus a cap for most of those. Wasn't allowed to transfer muh rtts to 20 so gave up on it.
So
Pass. Give me beast mode from the get go.or as soon as possible. -
