Ranked Seasons

I'll admit, I'm horrible playing H2H, but wanted to focus playing online this year. I'm 4-8, and getting crushed. I gave up four HR's to Soto, and can't pitch worth a darn. I strike out probably ten times a game. I'm not blaming the game or SDS, I just flat out suck. Those of you who win, and continue to win I give you a ton of respect, because online just isn't for me. Offline grind is in my future.

What is your end game for grinding versus the computer? You will not play vs other humans? If thats fun to you then cool. You can only get better if you keep playing head to head. Why give up?

I just want to play, and not get my [censored] kicked all the time. At some point and time, maybe I return to play ranked seasons? Maybe I try the other online modes. I did play the events tonight. Lost both of those games, but felt like I played better than I did playing ranked seasons. So maybe it's just ranked seasons that I get frustrated with.
I've always been an offline player until the last few years try to play around 100 games online. -
I will try to get my ten wins for each inning program, but otherwise I stick to events for H2H. It is easier to stomach getting your teeth kicked in if it is only for three innings.
-
Just put it on directional and wait for the coding to force your opponents pitches down the middle for you to crush. Being a bad player is easier this year if your patient and take advantage of the shady pitching.
Errors and nerfing opponents hits are your friend too.
Hope this helps, don’t give up.

About three years ago, I was strictly an “offline” player. With a lot of practice and time spent in ranked, I should challenge for WS every month this year.
You can get better. It takes work and patience. Also remember, sometimes you will lose a bunch in a row, and sometimes you’ll win a bunch in a row.
Don’t give up on it!!
One thing that helped me was sticking with a camera angle and not going away from it. Also YourfriendKyle videos on hitting help me a great deal.
-
Watch this video. Watch all of it. Obviously he can see pitches come in better than about everyone, but he will give you tips on how to get better yourself.
If you watch this whole video and implement what he’s saying in your own game, you will get better.
If you can hit, you can win in ranked. Some of the best players in the world suck at pitching. Get your hitting game right and you will start winning.
-
For the record, I don’t use the same camera angle as yourfriendkyle, but I use everything else he explains in that video.
And it’s done wonders for my game.
Hope this helps you!!

If you want to be good h2h you need a monitor or a nice tv. I bought a cheap $70 monitor for mlb 17 and right away made the jump from 5-600's to 800's + The lag on my tv was so bad previously there was a ceiling I couldn't break thru. Just food for thought
-
I appreciate everyone's response. For the most part I don't really care about the win or loss, it's just frustrating to get so soundly. I'll keep trying, and I did watch the videos, and have watched some of his twitch streams.

What specs should I look for? Thinking about getting a 32 inch monitor. What’s the specs that help with this game? Any info is appreciated!!

Mess around with your Batting camera angle.. I've done much better playing in Zoom than I have with any other angle.

The specs are 10ms input lag and 1ms response time. You will mostly find these specs in 24 inches, but a few pricier 27 inches exist. You can buy a brand new zowie rl2455hm monitor for $150. Use rtings.com or display lag websites to find the make of the monitor to see if its specs are good enough.
