That Groshans kid from TA2 is not Story but pretty close (and free)
What would you rather take? Groshans that is pretty close to Story and free and get 200k stubs or Trevor Story even though there will be better shortstops released?

Maybe a better Banks in September?A parallel 5 Story is endgame without a doubt. 92 speed, 99 fielding, 99 reaction, 97 arm, 95+ in every important hitting category.
I don’t know any other 5 tool SSs that can drop until a Finest Tatis or maybe a juiced Lindor. And even then it will be preference.
He is an endgame option but will not be the best SS in the game. Created Player you can get for free and is better than Story.
Yeah CAPs are better than every single card in the game. Take away CAPs and who do you have?
Who will be better? A finest Tatis? Maybe..
There are plenty of options we don't know about yet. As I said before he is an option not the best though.

I would sell. Honestly I feel like SDS is going to keep buffing LS Tatis w/ Trout out. Card is already up 40k from when I bought him. Dude is on pace for 50/40 and SDS refuses to acknowledge he can’t play defense

But he's getting super expensive as well. A POTM Semien that should be eligible at ss would settle it but that's only in a week

No better SS than a Story released in May? Funny as we had tons of better SSs last year not to mention The Hawk CAP. No doubt we will see a 99 Tatis at some point not to mention Honus and likely many others. Not a knock on Story but there isn’t a single “endgame” card right now besides maybe Chipper.

Who was better? Honus is comparable, more versatile. He would be equal to Story probably. Not better necessarily better. If Story isn’t endgame then what’s his weakness? Low vision? Vision only matters for fouling balls off.

His attributes aren’t over 99. You will see “endgame” players with more speed and power/contact. Seager didn’t have speed LY but his 99 to me was better as he’s a lefty but again not a knock. There isn’t a better SS available “right now” and that’s a fair statement but could still be debated as some people prefer switch hitters if not lefties.

Ok cap doesn't count for a "content release" debate, honus power and swing worse, tatis swing and vision will be worse so I guess you could say comparable

Seager has a noodle arm and iffy glove and no speed, better 2b/3b
And what switch hitting ss would their be aside from lindor flashback with ACTUAL pop which sds never gives him

Honus is the only one comparable if we’re splitting hairs. Tatis finest would be right there with Story like I mentioned earlier. Looking for a 5 tool player. Below 80 speed and you’re going to see a big dip in range. Just the way this game plays.
