    Good/Good is an out.

    Late/Okay is a hit.

    Early/Okay is a hit.

    Perfect/Perfect, you rarely want that.

If you have a mission, say get XBH with Mays, the batter ahead of you will double, Mays won't see a strike, the batter after him will double and the batter after him will probably double or homer.

Also your batter on a mission feels nerfed. Once you eventually clear the mission he suddenly comes alive and his stats play right.

The AI always hits a homerun at some point. Generally on an 0-2 count and swinging at a ball.

The Rockies outfield gets to everything, including balls you hit out.

There are way too many times where the AI does throw you something center cut that you time and locate very well and it's a soft grounder to 3rd/short or weak fly. It happens enough times that you can go Good/Good with 94+ overall cards with insane batting stats and go 1-2-3 in an inning with the fielders barely moving to make the play.

The amount of diving and sliding catches by the AI is ridiculous.

At this point with first TA done and second TA 2 done 100% and 1 at 85% and the rest around 50% I would say I have ground into 962 double plays and I have turned 7 against the AI.

The final boss card should be at 145 or even 140. Once you get the last card there is no reason to do the mission. So, if they keep it at 150 a smart thing to do is look at the missions and choose the worst mission card as your last pick. Always take the pitchers if you are just grinding to the end because they are an easy 4 points.

What difficulty are you playing on? I feel like Rookie is just way too much RNG as you can’t really pinpoint your PCI (because the pci is so giant on rookie).

I find grinding on veteran or All-Star a lot more rewarding. You can actually locate your pci to a specific point rather than covering 3-4ths of the zone and hoping for a good RNG roll.

Veteran. I will give All Star a try. I have played some on Rookie and yep for sure, I have to power swing to shrink the PCI so I can get hits. Otherwise with X the pci is all over the ball and then the dice roll happens. At least power swing puts some velo on the dice roll.

I agree with rookie and veteran the pci being too large. This is my first year playing and I started on rookie obviously, since I had no idea what I was doing. But now if I play anything lower than all star it is beyond frustrating... even doing the moments which are on rookie or veteran take much longer than they should because the pci take up the whole zone and does not respond as good as all star pci does.

Oh and when it comes to the AI robbing homeruns, diving, sliding etc... I have to words. The amount of perfect/perfect hits that have been robbed from me are innumerable. I understand ya, sometimes perfect hits are right at someone! But if you get two or three perfects in a row and none of the three are a hit, that is a huge problem!!!! One game I had back to back Homer's robbed and the only reason the outfielder got there is because he magically tellaported about 30 feet!! Also the AI allowed the batter to stand there and marvel at his beautiful homerun and all of a sudden he turns and walks to the dugout. I could not understand what happened, wasn't until I watched the replay that I saw what happened on the field...

Anyways, I am glad that the servers are fixed and cannot wait for third inning program!!!

Your last point is the best point here. It’s weird the last spot is a card which guarantees a mission not used. And also pitchers always get taken first if planning for the long haul.

The rest of it I did all the missions pretty much in 3 conquests. Actually got my last hit with a guy on last conquest game and wrapped up 3 divisions. It’s not that hard lol. Start your pci down middle and go from there.

oh yeah not worried about it being tough, the grind is pretty chill, just after awhile you notice the patterns in gameplay vs the AI and know what is going to happen before it happens.

.....and don't think the game doesn't know you're playing as the home team at Shippett, seemingly, the place to be if grinding homers and XBH. You won't see any wind indicator at times, but it's weird how a measly 5 mph < or > can knock down clearly rocketed shots! When this happens, I pack up and go to Coors, but there you see Sportscenter top 10 plays against you, plus unassisted firstbaseman DP's galore!

I agree with the player that has a mission ,you either get too fast or it seems impossible to hit 2 hrs with a guy 114/120 pwr.
only good rockies of is tapia, hit it to right and 1B are 2B and 2B are 3B. and less than 40 spd can score fron first.
The absolute brutal of belongs to STL.cant hit anything out there when they have 2 olympic track stars running around.
Dunno bout perfects. mine are 80-85% hits or higher. with an extreme percent of xbh.

Just adding observations during the TA grind.

So I had Mays xbh mission. Finished a 100 plate appearances and was at 147/150 TA2 NL west. 2 xbh left on Mays mission.

Instead of continuing on with plate appearances I decided to make a team of no photo scrubs and Mays batting first.

Go play the Rockies on vet and face Gomber. Mays homers, awesome. Then it gets nuts. The scrub team rakes like nobody’s business and we get all the way back around to Mays and he doubles. Mission completed. Then for kicks I was like ok bat until out, made it to 6th in the lineup before getting 3 outs. So 15 batters rolled through.

Those scrubs batted better than my 90+ ovr NL west all star grinding squad.

One of my friends said this game should be renamed MLB the bipolar show.

Beginning to agree. Nothing makes sense.

And oh boy the 6 hits Kiermaier mission for AL east TA2 is killing me.

He is 0-19 so far. His card is so bad for a 2020 postseason card. I mean he batted .143 .235 .167 first 3 series and .368 in the WS. Wish it was a WS card, it’s brutal squaring one up and not being able to hit the ball more than 20 feet at 17mph.

edit: figured out the best way to get hits with him. sit just outside of middle with the PCI and wait and hope the AI throws a pitch there. If they do move the PCI up very very slightly and he will hit a single, double, or triple liner. Once I stopped trying to hit like all my other players and just accepted striking out with him if no pitch goes there I got my hits with him very quickly.

went 0 for 6 with kiermaier to start, then got the 6 hits in about 12-15 abs. the key is to not press with them.
Like Walker 4xbhs, im 5 for 7 with him so far but all singles, cause im taking a lot of pitches then swing at the wrong one and get grounders up the middle.
Try and relax and just let it happen

For years I’ve only played Conquest on AS or HoF on occasion for RS warmup. But since TA2 with the grind missions and PA being the cumulative stats, I’ve started to play them on Veteran. Walker 6 hits I got easy on AS, but Biggio 6 hits and others with XBHs I would just find tedious. Play Col or Pitt every game until I’m bored and progress USA map. Like most, I start with Ps to get the ball rolling with easy targets to reach.

Dang. I mash offline with P2 Kiermayer. Still have him on my bench for PH and late defense.

I struggled with the Kyle Lewis XBH affinity 1 mission. I kept saying 'You're my friend Kyle, right? 🤪 Help a brova out.' I go to Shippett.....wind blowing in. To Coors....no dice. Then! Back to Shippett where he cranks 3 HR to finish. It's a crapshoot at times.

How many games vs cpu you need to play with full lineup of one division?
I have not started TA2 grind yet, but I'm so totally burned out from TA1 Showdown, that I don't want to see Showdown ever again

Hmm, my NL east team could get close to 55 plate appearances. 100 is 10 TA points.

My AL central team is getting about 34 plate appearances so it's taking me 3 games to complete 100.

But couple that with missions and you start making progress quick.

I cleared all the moments, all 3 conquest maps, the collection for each and have just done PA and mission grind and not playing an insane amount I have 3 divisions done, and the other 3 around 50%.

It is fun building the division "all star" teams.

Depends on the card though...Torii Hunter XBH for example...Hit 4 Doubles in my first 4 Plate Appearances. HR shortly after. Edgar Martinez...Weak Flyballs everywhere. I put all my Mission guys at the front of my lineup too so they get the most PA possible.

If you can afford the exchanges you can totally skip showdown and still finish quite easily. In each division I did this, then played with the missions cards during conquest. By the end of the third conquest I was at about 85% on them all and completely done two of the six. Zero showdowns needed. I don’t mind showdowns but it was nice to switch it up and earn parallels while I did conquest instead.

Thank you guys. I really hated showdowns at the end, I'm not gonna play it again no matter what 🙂
