This may sound crazy, but I think the reason this guy posts everyday is because it's actually the developers doing a reverse flag operation, trying to make it look like people who have issues with the game just spout conspiracy level stuff, which discredits actual legitimate complaints. Maybe I'm wrong, but I can usually spot shady manipulation when I see it.

So, this ain't a big rant on how much the game cheats ME personally.
This is as far as I got! The game and/or the console has a personal grudge against you! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!! What a joke!

Confidence? What is it with folks spouting on about confidence like it's a factor. Well, anymore of a factor than all the other RNG. As I always say it doesn't matter, until it's supposed to support an outcome.
But, to be cordial I believe it was 4th inning maybe and I sorta recall the blue line being well over 1/2 full. TBH, I really-really don't pay attention to energy, confidence, speed/lead for stealing, etc. It just really doesn't matter..unless it's supposed to.
Why wouldn’t that stuff matter? So you’re telling me you’ll be able to steal as many bases with Jorge Posada as you would with Billy Hamilton?
Don't give this guy the time of day. He has more conspiracy theories about this game than people have about JFK, 9/11, and Covid combined
The mob killed JFK!

Beautiful I love it!! I’ll bet the DEVS do post incognito just to stir it up!

I the world of MLB the Show nothing is out of the realm of possibility. I'm really not about getting lovers of the game upset.
I'm about trying to get the word out to those that are feeling bad about there selves because they can't be successful at this game and think it's something they are doing wrong (or not right). It's really not fair for them to believe this game rewards great skill sets, and playing/practicing more will make them better.
There is a point of diminishing return as far as "practice" goes. You hit about 10-15 hours of gametime and you should have the reflexes and nuances as in tune as they are ever gonna be. After that, you're at the mercy of the AI and it's manipulation.
So, I'm just trying to point out the travesties and lengths I've seen the AI go to to ensure a preordained result. Let those feeling bad about their game, maybe, pick up on it and understand what DD is about.
For sure you can have fun..it's a great game. But keep perspective the AI is surely about creating parity and making sure players stay engaged. Typically, that means games have to be close..and sometimes the "excitement" factor added in by the AI loses it's appeal after you've seen the same 'ol here-we-go-again too many times.
That's all. Sorry to take up your time.

Did anyone answer the OP's question (and mine I guess) why Lofton/Brock/etc. get thrown out in these exact situations? Seemed like everyone was just busy talking about tin foil and stuff..and not answering a question about a legitimate flaw in the game. At least it seems like a flaw not a conspiracy.

@ShowProdigy_PSN
Stealing/jumps have been an issue for years because that is one part of the game that is definitely a dice roll. I feel like they just need to give us the option of either letting the dice roll play out or have a button to send the runner manually. Nothing worse than having a 99 speed guy spin his tires and get thrown out by a sub-70 arm strength catcher -

The same reason you can’t throw a guy out at first from the outfield. Even if his fatazz has 2 speed. The coding won’t allow it. Coding states a hit to the outfield is an automatic hit. Rickey Henderson was thrown out 335 times. So to SDS even a 99 speed can’t be an automatic steal hence more RNG. The higher the difficulty the more RNG I see with base stealing. I mean Allstar and below you can steal all day long with 80+ speed guys

Well, I'm thinking there is a huge difference between the 2. First, in MLB throwing to 1B from the outfield is pretty much extinct. We used to pull it off in beer-league softball now and then. SDS should just code it so it can't happen. I'm pretty sure last year it worked on occasion.
But this base stealing thing is pure bastardizing a play in order to generate favorable animation for a desired outcome. AI manipulation.
Like comparing apples and oranges. No, there is a big problem with lead-off base-stealing that RNG uses carelessly and situationally to control outcomes..pure and simple.
Speed, base-stealing ability, situation, lead, pitch-type, catcher throwing, etc all those different determiners are just scrapped when AI decides it's time to produce an out. And, this same coding logic is rampant in the game. Probably why Confidence is meaningful..until it's not.
It's why ppl get very frustrated and vent on these forums. Most of the venting is an open invitation to the developers to fix it and do your best to make the game seem less fabricated. Sometimes calling them out, if they happen to be listening, might shame them into addressing exploitations and obvious manipulation.
And why gatekeepers hate ppl like us..we exploit what the game is. And then all the gatekeeper and fan-boyz got is "tin-foil" "tin-foil". Which, in the context of declaring a conspiracy on someone's evaluation of a software game is fairly lame and silly. It's coded software..it's never going to be REAL or reflective of an anti-conspiracy argument one way or the other. But when that's all the ammo or defense you have..you shoot those blanks.
