I got myself up to 782 rating so every ranked game i play is on HoF right now, ive lost two games in a row where ive had 5 hits in 2 games 4 of them perfects for some reason lol But for the love of me i cannot adjust to hall of fame, On all-star i went on an 8 win streak, Ive stopped swinging at least at 50% of out of zone pitchs now taken me a while to just sit till 2 strikes then try to hit a ball in zone , While waiting on 2 strikes i sit and watch the pitchs and breaks but no matter how much i watch the pitcher i cannot read them at all or if i sit on a faster ball in top left zone (middle, left, top, top left so like a quarter if i notice them throw there alot) Especialy with 102 mph pitchs i feel like i swing soon as they throw the ball im still late , But its weird cause in practice i can hit on legend way better than i can hit in ranked games, Only thing i can think of is latency issues being from uk i think maybe the servers can't handle the distance for the connection.

HOF was brutal in the event. Got to 15 wins for the 42 pack and called it quits. Last year it seemed HOF was easier, not sure why

HOF is definitely hard. You can’t up there and swing at everything or you’ll get eaten alive.

I find when I play on HOF, I pay way more attention to my opponents tendencies. What he throws in certain counts, in certain situations, with runners on, what his out pitch is. That goes a long way into anticipating what your opponent will try to do next.

If you go in there without a game plan and swinging away, you won’t fare very well

I find it helpful to go into batting practice on legend for 10 minutes before going into HoF games. Everything seems slow once you do that.

Custom practice honestly outside of seeing faster pitch speeds does nothing due to the latency issues online. Also the timing windows once again change from level to level. Instead of increased pitch speeds, it’s different timing windows, pitches actually break more on hof then in allstar. On legend it’s even worse. Plus pci size are dramatically smaller in hof and legend

@NoBuntCheese_PSN there are a lot of us out there in this boat. I’m in the same boat, and if I give up 3 runs at any stadium except shippett, I’m almost guaranteed an L on HOF.

But I win my fair share of games against people who also can’t hit an inside fastball.

The nice thing is that the team affinities have individual statistics attached to them. So, if I go down 5-0 to a guy with a WS banner, I just try to pick one spot per st bat and focus on that.

Every game I played on HOF or legend ended up less than 5 runs total. HOF+ equals guess what pitch is coming and where and hope if it comes you make contact with it and then hope it goes for a hit when you do square it up.

When hitting in HOF you have to isolate a single pitch and location and then execute your swing at the right time. It resembles a sport we all follow.

Also depends on what is going on with connections. Sunday night I had another run of couldn't react or recognize pitches. Not sure why but it wasn't fun. Happened in both events and DD.

I warm up with play vs cpu on legend and scored 27 runs. HOF online still seemed faster. I wish they would match the pitch speeds on play vs cpu, conquest, custom practice etc with the pitch speeds on DD. I think that would help quite a bit. Really not sure why they don't.

Played a guy tonight dotting with Darvish. I won but no way. He has 60, 61, 52, 62 and 62 control ratings. PAR should have been huge on all of those.

So are you really the Sunday night guy or the other nights that end in "Y" guy? Are you getting an advantage every night but Sunday? Hanging out in Division-Series land. Things even out Sunday night and you suddenly turn into All-Star guy. How do you really know? I'm just asking for everyone that encounters the very same phenomena.

As you said your from the UK can I ask where your opponents are from ?

Btw i am in the same situation with the lag it feels like the pci has a 1k lbs weight on it a lot of the time.

Honestly couldn't tell you. Most times the game plays pretty good and I can read and react to pitches. Sometimes it doesn't. I have no idea why it does this. It happened on Saturday night the week before and Sunday night this last weekend. When this happens I get blown away in all star so on HOF I have no chance. I thought maybe it was traffic Sunday night which shouldn't matter on fiber but wife and daughter were watching a movie on ps3 so I was the only one on the internet. I can really tell when something isn't right because it feels like I am a little leaguer facing a high school pitcher.

I honestly could care less if I win or lose most games as long as I can read and react to pitches. The days when I can't, it is zero fun. I'm just waiting to get lucky and sell out on a fastball and look really dumb on other things.

HOF require extreme focus for me, which is fine for RS as I’m trying to crawl up to 800+, but the event is zero fun on HOF. I’m 15-10 and pretty sure I’m done. Might punch out 5 more for the Reese card, but no way abm I going for 42
