I am currently in the year 2025 of RTTS having been playing AAA for like 2 and a half seasons.
Early in AAA, i was asked to switch from RF to 1B which makes sense given that i am playing for the dodgers affiliate and Mookie Betts would have been blocking my path. I have now been playing in this position for 2 FULL SEASONS without simming a single game.
In the season before last, i was invited to spring training only to get demoted back down to the dodgers AAA affiliate. This season, I have batted over 400, hit 45 HR's, nearly 150 RBI's and am an 87 overall after applying "The Duke" archetype. The next best overall in my position (1B) is a 73. There is not a single active first baseman on the dodgers major league roster.
I recently advanced to the next season (2025), to get invited to spring training once again. Lone behold, straight back down to AAA, despite batting just below 400.

Because i just want to get to the show now, I have tried simming years in advance to see how long it would take me to get promoted . Every single year I am met with the same b**lshit. Nearing the end of the season I get the nod that the dogers may be looking to call me up for their playoffs run. This NEVER happens. I have tried repeating this cycle by saving and reloading multiple times now - absolutely nothing has worked. No idea what else I can do to get a call up.

Anyone else experienced this? Is it a glitch? If so should I wait for a patch? Any help at all would be much appreciated because this is beyond frustrating now.

Something's obviously wrong. I was in AA for 1/2 a season and got called up to AAA and finished that season (2021).
About 35 games into my first full season in AAA (2022) I called called up to the majors.
So I spent a total of less then 1 1/2 seasons in the minors.

Asking for a trade probably won't help (you mention it to your agent). You are under contract to the Dodgers for something like 6 seasons with a very low salary so they would have no incentive to trade you.

Asking for a change of position seems to be the only thing you've done that I didn't but it's strange that would make such a difference.

If it seems you need to start over and want to just play for the Dodgers and don't care about working your way up, levelling again, etc., just create yourself and play Franchise. You can make yourself OVR 99 or whatever you want, pick a position, be a 2 way player or not and put yourself on the Dodgers. Every game you have a choice to play games locked on yourself or bat or pitch for everyone and of course you also manage the team, make the roster, all the trades, etc.

OR, make a Franchise owning the Dodgers then go in their roster, pick someone and do edit player. You can change everything...again, make him a 99 OVR or whatever. However, you can't change the name of a real player so you need to pick one of the many fictitious players to edit. Could be a AA player or whatever, it doesn't matter because you are running the team and can immediately promote yourself to the majors

Just a thought instead of going through all B.S. you've had to at this point.

In the end nothing was working in that RTTS save at all. Asked for a trade only to be told I have to be patient multiple times. Simmed all the way to free agency and got picked up by other teams on supposed "MLB Starter" contracts only to be optioned straight back down to their AAA affiliate. Assuming something must have glitched along the way because nothing made any sense in the save.

Ended up just starting a new RTTS save with the same ballplayer (which i didn't even realise was possible until i tried it). So managed to keep all my player's equipment, perks and OVR etc. Simmed about 100-120 games into the season and got called up into the Majors for the Rays. Literally in my first season lol. Shame that i lost all of my AAA accolades/stats, but at the end of the day a small price to pay for getting into the majors.

Seems like there is some pretty big coding issues with RTTS this year, although maybe this isn't helped by the fact that I'm playing on Xbox One rather than series x or PS5.

Yes, like I said, you literally can't get traded for several years.
I didn't realize you were on Xbox, you're right that may have made a difference. I have a PS5 and I've also heard of many people on PS4 having RTTS issues I never had (although some issues were definitely universal there for awhile lol). There has to be a connection there.

You likely don't care about this but if you plan on using your RTTS player in DD, he will not be anywhere as good because simming the games does not improve his attributes for DD. You actually have to grind them.
