RS against higher divisions
-
Hi
So the handbook clearly states if I play someone from a higher division the game would default to All Star difficulty.
However I’ve noticed now 2 or 3 times when I’m playing an opponent my pci gets small and it’s a tough slog. When finishing the game either by me quitting cos I’m getting my [censored] kicked or just by a general loss the opponent (the one I just played at least) was 820 rating.
Is the handbook lying to me?

The PCI defaults to that of the higher opponent. If you are on HOF and you play a player above 900, the game will be legend. If you are all star and you play someone 700-899, you will be on HOF.

No idea where you think it defaults to AS but once you or your opponent is over 700 bye bye allstar

It’s in the handbook dude. Literally in black and white under The Ranked Seasons section.

What handbook? They literally said in the dd stream that it would default to the higher player. It keeps the higher player from bouncing from one diff to another.

In the DD section main page under stats or rules or something there is a section for “handbook” at the bottom

I have no idea what that is.. I am telling you what was said in the live stream. Hold the bar below 700 or as close as you can get it and you will stay on allstar.

You are both correct. During a livestream, they stated difficulty would be based on the higher ranked players division. This was a change from previous years. However, they never updated the handbook and it still states that mixed division games will be played at all star difficulty.
Btw, you can access the handbook in game, through one of the sub menus. I forgot which one at the moment.

The handbook isn't updated. Its wrong, higher ranked opponent dictates difficulty.
