Umm quite literally the whole point is to assemble a team and play online vs other people. Reaching the end of the inning Is not stopping you from doing that.
It’s still crazy people see it another way. If you aren’t playing online with a custom team just go play with whoever you want whenever you want outside of DD. Why wait for Devs to release cards and grind out missions to earn them. Crazy
It makes absolutely no sense. I guess it’s some kind of dopamine rush or something. They’re addicted to something
some people just like the collecting aspect of the game. just bc it doesnt make sense to you doesnt mean they're "addicted" to something
It’s the exact same thing as people who can’t stop playing candy crush, or checking Facebook, or their phone. It’s the dopamine being released in the brain, just like when you’re “collecting” cards.

Lmao nah man you dont have enough information to make that kind of assumption. Different people enjoy different things. some dont like playing online so they do other stuff. rn if you dont play online and youve completed everything, there isn't a ton to do. Just because people play the game differently doesn't mean they have an addiction problem with the game lol

I've been in recovery for quite awhile now (from actual addiction) I dont want to argue with you, but I will say that you don't know what you're talking about. And making light of addiction isn't cool. Im not mad at you man, just saying.

Addicted to the collecting and then the rewards from the brain they get. Basically everything is designed for this purpose and to keep you coming back/playing. If you can’t understand this very simple concept. Sorry.

I understand the concept, its common knowledge these days and very far from groundbreaking news. But that doesn't mean you can just say people are addicted without actually knowing anything about their life. Congrats on watching a netflix documentary though

9 more days of playing mlb the market 21.
Absolutely zero incentive to play the game after 650k.
Didn't realize playing the market and the XP grind were the only 2 things to do in this game. Guess you might want to invest in another game or maybe go outside for once.
Haha you've played dd more than me sassy boy.
Yeah I prolly have. Your point? I'm not whining about XP. You are. I still play the game even after maxing out TA1 & 2nd inning. Like I said if you have 0 incentive to play just because you maxed out XP either go outside or find a different game because there's still plenty to do in THIS game and you don't have to look very hard to find something to do.
i think he means more so that anything he does could net decent amlounts of xp that doesnt go towards anything. There's definitely stuff you can do but in terms of XP its not really efficient.
Well a quote from the OP:
"Absolutely zero incentive to play the game after 650k"
If XP is your only incentive you'll be really bored a couple of weeks every month most likely. it doesn't take much brain power to just ignore the XP shown on the screen. I've said it before I wish SDS didn't change from stars to XP and just added in more rewards to the track. Sure some would still whine as they are now that the old XP track isn't there. But at least we wouldn't have ppl also whining about maxing out the inning too.

my guy, its called a hobby. Everyone has different hobbies. Granted, people can become addicted but going around accusing people of addiction bc they say they are goal oriented and enjoy completing tasks is beyond naive. Have you known anyone with addiction, dealt wit iit yourself, studied addiction? or did you just watch a netflix documentary, learn some buzz words and think youre some expert that you can just diagnose others.
Btw, a big portion of the game is about collecting cards. maybe you are just salty that people get the collections and you dont

So by this logic, And I commend you on getting your PhD in phycology through netflix, but by this logic we should all get home from work and do what? What leisurely hobby can humans find enjoyment in without being put under your vast umbrella of "addiction"?
Bottom line, I've never stole from anyone to buy more stubs.

Lol ok. But I do. It’s not rocket science
So you know nothing about this guy and you're diagnosing him with an addiction to the game over the internet. Makes sense.
Yea you’re right. They just spend countless hours because they just happen to like collecting fake cards that disappear in 10 months when you get to start all over. It’s not anything personal. It’s human nature. Congrats on almost thinking something through
The sad reality is they find you mentioning it offensive and not SDS who’s goal is to find new ways to extract more and more of their life away.
I mean if you look at my other post I agreed with him and said what he was saying is true but its wasnt new information. I just dont think its cool to go around accusing people of addiction when a lot of us play this game a [censored] ton in our down time, especially when you no nothing about someone
I am addicted. Just thought I would throw that in.

You’re still completely missing the point. The fact offline players have become addicted to the tactics put in place to take money from online pay to win sweaty dudes like myself is the strange part. Like why grind? Why flip? Why need XP? Those all just unlock cards you already have access too. Why come into a event game and leave after one inning so you can get some guy to level 5 then never use him again. Why not just click “customize player” and add 5 attributes then never use him again?

Im sorry I dont understand. Where can I go to just add 5 to my players attributes? And why need xp? Why flip? Why grind? Because it's fun and its the whole purpose of this game mode. Thats like buying tony hawk and asking why skate. I play offline mostly yes, but I still play DD almost exclusively. You don't have to be an online sweat, as you called it, to enjoy DD. That's what makes it fun.

@ny_giants4_life @go4stros25_PSN
@KyleJaros88_PSN I went from almost exclusively online last year to almost exclusively offline this year, yet have played DD just the same. The draw of DD for offline play is the visual appeal of the cards and getting the effect that it’s “your team”.It is a dopamine hit as you inferred - and yes, it has addictive qualities to it. Equally, so does the online play that you prefer. The dopamine hit you get out of scoring or winning a game generates that same chemical. So in a sense, we fall under the same category while playing this game.
It might be unpalatable to say it’s addictive about someone else’s behaviors while not taking into account how the same might be true about yourself. With that being said, excellent movie you’re referring to - The Social Dilemma. It was great.

I am definitely opening a few hundred packs tonight. Just one diamond, PLEASE! I will give you all my money to see that lovely sapphire blue appear. I need a hit bad.
