Who would you play at catcher?
Stallings has better stats than Perez except for Power, Vison, Speed , and Stealing.

Perez. Power is king, and Stallings 1 speed is a baserunning nightmare. All his hits will be singles. Defense for Perez is plenty good enough.

Personally I wouldn’t play either remotely long term. I was lucky to grab Rutchman and Piazza early. Rutchman is the guy I play with. Solid switch hitter w/ decent speed and a good arm.
That said early on/gold, I would probably try and grab the vet Yan Gomes. No speed but he crushed for me.

Realmuto has been a monster for me, I am almost to Superfractor with him.

I have Perez but I really don't like using him. Looking to upgrade now.

You rarely need a backup catcher.

I would not recommend that. I rarely have a back up catcher. Bichette or Stanton would be more valuable
