No he didnt have the 370 and 390 avgs of ruth. but then ruth ended up 1000 hits less.

And the average fastball velocity has dramatically jumped in the past 25 years. Dramatically.
Every sport has leaps in performance and conditioning. Baseball is probably one of the biggest examples of that.
Even in the last 5 years, spin rate is now being optimized. -

Using science and applying it to today's way of clocking pitch speeds....Walter Johnson was hitting 97+ miles an hour and the second fast pitch of all time , 107.8, was registered by Feller in 1946....so pitch speed argument is rediculous, guys back in Ruth's day where most certainly hitting 95+ based on how pitch speeds are calculated now.

I've watched that doc, and they definitely don't come to that conclusion. It was basically impossible to prove. Conditioning back then would make it near impossible to consistently reach those speeds.
Even 10 years ago the average pitch speed was a few mph slower than today. Every pitcher throws 95+ now. You'd be lucky to have a handful that did it even 35 years ago... Let alone 100 years.. when guys were going to war, starving half the time, eating terribly and drinking before and after games.. -

If you want to say that an average offensive lineman from 1950 would get absolutely steamrolled by Danielle Hunter, fine. But there were plenty of guys throwing hard 50 years ago. More now? Yeah but I think that the leaps are much more mitigated by a sport like baseball where skill is still king.
ETA: and struggling against Sale is a weak argument in itself. Modern hitters struggled against Sale. If want to be bold, make a case as to why Randy Dobnak would win the 1927 Cy Young.

Just download the "PSRemotePlay" app from the App store and link your account.
I can't "hit" even on the playstation console, so that may be hard on a dinky phone...but striking a batter out is pretty easy. I mainly use it to knock out my daily objective in Madden Ultimate Team. Much easier to play MUT than The Show on the phone.
