How exactly your created players position is determined? I obviously see the all the different positions which are stated on every single one of the archetypes. What I am completely confused about however is the ones which state all these multiple “preferred positions” yet it seems there is no way to select any your desired position and instead it seems that whatever archetype you select your position is determined with the first position stated prior to all the others.

Can someone please explain how this exactly works? Slugger for example being the one which I had selected and it automatically set me at 1B with zero secondary positions. Is there no way that I am able to select slugger at any position aside from 1B?

You need to level up the archetypes.

Gonna keep it real i don’t understand any of it. But with best equipment and diamond stuff my 2B spark plug has 89 vision, 93 contact both sides and 99 power both sides and in only a 75 still in first year and still on the silver tier so I’m not sure why any of it matters.

Seems highly likely by the time I hit 50s on those things and get to diamond tier dude gonna have close to 120 in most things.

I’m glad people are keeping it real here. I feel like this is one of the most complicated parts of the game For no reason and I really want to enjoy it too. Not sure who created it like this but it could’ve definitely been laid out better.

Level it up to what? I am not seeing different positions to choose from once you level but only the different archetypes you are able to select from. How exactly does it work with the position?

I just learned this myself but there are missions built within the archetype to level up. I think you push the square button if I’m not mistaken.

I know how to level up the player and I understand the program just fine as it is similar to years prior. I am only referring to the players position.
