So, I’m pretty decent at pitching in this game, but I’ve given up a hit in my first five tries at this and only got through the eighth once.

I know! Let’s make a moment where you have to finish a no hitter and then max out the cpu hard contact slider!

Sorry. This stuff is just dumb. Obviously I’ll complete the moment, but SDS needs to find a better way to maximize replay ability than just cranking sliders.

OR, maybe I’m supposed to throw three balls to every hitter first like the cpu does?

If that doesn’t work, you could also try throwing over to first base 3 or 4 times when the runner has a speed of like 12.

Pitching moments are by far the easiest; sometimes you get unlucky. It's the complete opposite of hitting moments; retry a bunch of times but sometimes you get lucky. Multi-games are brutal when you have to get XBHs...

Yeah, I completed it on the very next try. I just think it’s dumb. Slider adjustment needs to go away.

What I normally do is throw what the catcher calls for in these moments. Typically if you have near perfect input, the CPU doesn’t do much

I think pitching moments tend to be the easiest but they are also by far the most tedious and boring. There’s not a whole lot of variety that they can realistically ask us to do, so it ends up being a lot of the same thing — strike out X guys, don’t give up X hits/runs. Same thing every time just with a different guy on the mound. And then making the pitchers bat just slows the moments down unnecessarily.

It'd be a lot less frustrating for hitting moments if you can hit retry at anytime instead of sitting there until the exact time (when the defender throws the ball in or back to the pitcher) when restart opens up.. infuriating

Yep. I remember the last daily moment like this and I was saying to a streamer how rough it was and I had restarted 10x already. He went into the moment and finished first shot. Made it look easy. And he was like "What's so hard about that?". lol

Pitch out a few times too?

Against the cpu I usually make a V while pitching seems to work... Fastball sinker cutter high and in, then off speed low, then fastball sinker cutter high and away.... Easy K or pop out every time.

I just completed it, but I failed at least 8-9 times which is ridiculous for a pitching moment. I usually knock those out on my first try no problem. I was getting blooped to death all of the field, along with one no doubt shot from Mondesi on a curveball in the dirt. I think it's safe to say Live Series Jon Lester won't be making my ranked squad anytime soon...

Yep, I know DD doesn’t have DH but if it’s to much of a hassle to put it in for moments, they should just sim it. Unless it’s MadBum of course

That approach made me fail once! At least with 2 outs in the 9th once.
I'm pretty good at pitching as well but had to restart 4 times.

What I don’t understand with CPU hitting is how it’s hardly ever just a lineout or an easy ground ball. It’s either a strikeout or a missile.

Im not a big fan of these daily moments. I forget about them half the time and if you don't do them then its a waste.

I was at first but kind of forgot about them when I became more focused on the bigger tasks. Maybe I should make it the first thing I do daily before moving on.
